I am sooo frustrated. Any help would be appreciated. Here is what I know…
1/26 IRS accepted return, injured spouse (all income mine, debt spouses), and Education credits.
2/21 finally processed return
3/11 Called, told to wait until 6 weeks from 1/26
3/21 Called, told to wait 8 weeks from 1/26
3/28 Called, told to wait until after 4/2 to call
4/2 Called, told no info until after 5/9Any suggestions at this point? I have a huge medical expense that I need to pay out of pocket and waiting until Mid-May will cause an issue for my family.

Ok so they don’t count the first week of the year? My transcripts show that date the IRS told me they received my return 2/4/2014 ? Why is 06 feb 11th? Any way my question was about why my status changed I just saw a lot of people talking about if there cycle date incorrectly looking for answers
Sorry @pamela79 someone gave you bad info on cycle dates..here’s some more info to help you better understand..also your date 20130602 translates to feb 11, 2013. The 02 isn’t the 2nd day of the week it is Monday just like 01 isn’t the first day of the week it means friday. Hope this clears things up for you :) and thank you for sharing about your status!

IMF Daily ProcessingIMF processing will be daily except on weekends. Some transactions post to IMF on a daily basis as opposed to during the weekly cycle.
Note:
In January 2012 with CADE 2 Transition State 1 implementation, IMF began processing and posting all Individual Taxpayer submissions and transactions and remain the system of record.
IMF Cycle Date is a daily cycle designated by an eight digit number indicating the year, the two digit cycle number and the two digit number indicating the day of the week (YYYYWWDD). The following values for DD are defined:
01 = Friday
02 = Monday
03 = Tuesday
04 = Wednesday
05 = Thursday
This date is the equivalent of the Cycle Date in IDRS and reflects the date the transaction is posted by IMF. See Exhibit 3.30.123-2, Enterprise Computing Center-MTB Posting Cycle Calendar.
Example:
IMF daily transactions directed to daily accounts input in the campus on Monday, August 12, 2013 will have a posting cycle of 20133302.http://www.irs.gov/irm/part3/irm_03-030-123r.html
Btw your cycle date is the date the IRS accepted your return I filled mine on turbo tax 1/30 within 2 hours I got an email that it was accepted however the IRS didn’t put it in their system unt 2/4 and they didn’t accept returns until 1/30 so even if you filed 1/15 trey didn’t get it until 1/30 so back to what I was saying my cycle date is 20130602 that means they received my taxes on the 6th week of the year on the 2nd day of the week 2013 it has nothing to do with when it will be processed also you should have a process date of April 15 2013 because that is when the tax season closes though you could still wait till may or June to see your money I don’t mean to burst bubbles but be prepared just in case ;)
I filed injured spouse my status changed Friday it dropped a refund date will be provided when available not it just says its been received and is being processed does that mean there is a problem?

I just thought I would let others know our experience. We filed our taxes electronically and they were accepted February 2nd. When we found that the return was being held for another debt, my husband filed an injured spouse form and it was mailed around the 13th of February. We received our check in the mail today (April 1, 2013) for the full amount of our refund. This morning, WMR still said that our return was being processed. We never received a date on WMR, but we did receive letters from the IRS in the mail at the end of last week that said we would be receiving the full amount of our return sometime in the next few weeks.
Hope this information helps someone.
Hi @atozmom what I’ve been hearing is that the part on WMR that says ,” a refund date will be provided when available” that is in italics, disappears a few days before DD but some don’t see any changes..so it’s hard to tell, hope that helps :) good luck!
I’ve been lurking for weeks and I finally got a ddd scheduled for 4/3 and no later than 4/8. My return was accepted 1/28, I received transcripts a week ago. I hope everyone gets theirs soon as well.
I’m here to wait it out too. Accepted 02/28. WMR updated to “take action” on 03/05 and then changed to tell me about the offset on 03/07. Mailed IS form on 03/11. My question is, will WMR actually change again when they process my form so I’ll be able to tell something has been done? This is our first year filing IS. Thanks for any information!

I’ll wait! Mine was accepted 2/2 and still says processing. Got transcripts 2 weeks ago that had a date of 4/15 so we’ll see!
I filled IS also on 2/1 every time i called irs which was once a week i was told to wait my 11 weeks to call back finally today i called again and a very nice rep told me that my return was accepted on 2/1 and my IS form started processing as of 2/7 so almost 7 weeks this week, he also told me that it usually takes only 8 weeks to process so they should be done this week or next week after the IS form was done i should be put back to the DDD processing system which should take less than 10 days, total time frame before i get my refund would be about 2-3 weeks from now, i was so happy to hear that considering 2nd time i called i was also told i wouldn’t be done till lastweek of april…hope this help you out and good luck

I am in the same boat! We filed electronically on Feb. 17th & it was a accepted on the same day. When I check WMF, there is no status bar & all it has said for 3 weeks is that it is being processed. I have never waited this long before & I am so frustrated, the stress is overwhelming. We are at a point financially where we don’t know what we are going to do. Can somebody who are having the same issues & has actually received an answer please tell me what in the world is going on? I’m at the end of my rope! Thank you!

My husband and I filed injured spouse, but it was in error. He thought that because he was my spouse and that he is a disabled veteran (injured) that he was supposed to file that form. This was our first year filing on our own and we paper filed. It’s crazy because now we are waiting 11+ weeks and we really shouldn’t have to. I have asked many tax experts and they cant help. This is a burden.

This letter was bs to stall my refund. They said it was straight now and it be coming in 2 weeks. It’s been 5 weeks. My original file date was 1/3012013. I’m getting a tax advocate lawyer. This is a bunch of beaurocratic crap.

How are some of you who didn’t even get your injured spouse form turned in until after others have filed getting your returns so fast? I still haven’t heard a thing. :(
Well i sat on hold for about 30 mins or so talked to a rep she said that the case is closed and its set to give me a refund date on monday when it processes in there system. so i hope when i get a refund its sent next week but i will still plan for 2 weeks on it so at least i know that by next week i will have a date again Filed: 1-15 Accepted: 1-24 when i get a date i will post it Good luck to everyone waiting
Well I Filed on Jan 15th was accepted Jan 24th been watching this thread for about 3 weeks now. I ordered my Transcript from the IRS on March 12th and just got them today now I’m totally lost online it says still processing my Cycle date is 20130505 and it says my Recieved date is Apr 15 2013 but i have no hint or anything on a a refund what does this mean PLEASE HELP :( i need to pay off bills.
Don’t get too excited…I filed 3-01 and still WMR says ‘your tax return has been received and is being processed’ mind you, the state has already given me DD 4-02. I don’t know how it’s possible for the state to accept my return and not the fed but whatever….just playing the waiting game I guess
Filed on 3-01, state has been approved with dd 4-02. Federal is still ‘being processed.’ This is ridiculous. I filed after the whole wait period in the middle of February and everyone I know that filed before me, during that time, got their returns already. Exactly how is it that the state can accept and send my refund before the fed when I always get the state much later than the fed. How can the state approve it and the fed can’t?

I wonder what state the other responders are from? I’m in Geoegia and my return is on hold because they hadn’t received my 2010 tax return. Which is a lil confusing since last year I was not told this, before receiving my 2011 return. The Taxpayer Advocate assured me the IRS works rather swiftly when facing a hardship such as myself. I sincerely hope he is right! I faxed the info he needed on the 13th and he submitted it that day. Our next contact date is the 29th, but he said I should receive something before that. Idk, I hope he’s right. ?????
I verified 3/11 was told everything was ok put back after three questions. Received a letter sat dated 3/15 decided to call again today and verify called got asked many questions put me on hold while he entered processing codes said I was cleared to go to processing again said it would be 4-6 weeks from today . I am wondering if I was actually put back into processing this time he even took the time to explain why my return was pulled in the first place . I I get a date soon

Ordered account trancsript 2/18 but not return and when I got it….it was blank
Called 2/22 and was livid because all the ti.e I was waiting I found out I was flagged on 2/7 before processing was done due to 4883c so totally clueless about it I got some info googled it and called…wait time was 30 minutes tops and had a nice Rep…asked a few questions then I thought I was done…well NOT! I was curious and called back 2/26 and was told the Rep did not release me Bk into processing…smh so I did it all over and the guy did it right…well called back 3/6 and was sent to indentity protection unit (not the same people on the letter andwas interrogated at the end of the Congo thready said well I released the hold and u should be ok when the other department release their hold and they have up to 30 days to answer so that will be 3/22 so call Bk after then if u don’t have your money! Mad as hell I called back 3/18 got my fave guy who calmed me down and told me I should have an update the week after 3/22 and just to hold on he said this is a new system and they did not know all these people would be flagged and that’s its nothing malicious just protection of the taxpayer…I said ok and I will call Bk on 325 if I don’t see an update on WMR by then…thanks for reading I hope I get my money soon I have been a good girl but I will go bad if I loose anything else ;-) P.U.S.HAny updates
THAT IS NOT TRUE!!! You can get earned income credit for dependents who are not related to you that is step children are eligible. You just have to prove that you took care of them.

I called again the next day and was told the same thing about a letter so i asked if they could resend it but they said no. I am self employed and received the dd this morning and got a refund date too. I am quite happy with it.
Other updates naturally occurs daily or almost everyday and the mass updates are seen on Wednesdays and Saturday nights excluding sunday. You can keep a check and go through the latest updates.
I e-filed 2/1 and it was accepted 2/2. I STILL have the “A refund date will be provided…” black hole.
But I called the phone number listed below (800-829-0582 x 362) and found out that because of the Ed credit, we will receive our DD 4-6 weeks from March 11. Don’t know if that’s the same for everyone. That puts my DD between April 8-22; 9-11 weeks after filing. Very frustrating, but at least we have a ballpark date now to work with. @ella there is a number to speak w/ a human on the green tab that says contacts..when you call don’t say anything about inj. Spouse just say you are trying to find out the status of your return since its been over 21 days.. They will transfer you to an agent that will be able to pull up your return and make sure it was received..
I filed my last week after receiving the paper work. I am just waiting to a few weeks to call the IRS. Is there a specific number to call.
Hey just to give you guys a heads up someone named @YooHoo2013 received his refund today ..he filed his on 1/30 was accepted 1/31 and got it today just shy of seven weeks he says, so just to give everyone waiting some hope..also I heard there is supposed to be a big update tonight..let us know if any of you guys hear anything or get any updates please :)
