Some early filers returns were accepted early then the official tax season start date 1/30. I was one of them. 1/29 i got a DD date of 2/4. I filed through tax act like i’ve done the past three years and republic bank which is the one tax act is through to take my fee just released my funds and they say it can take 1-5 days to be shown in my bank that i elected my refund be sent to (bancorp bank) green dot…this is the first year ive used green dot. I’ve always used the tax act endeavor card. Gonna wait & see how long green dot takes to release my funds

So I just checked SBBT and it shows they have received funds from the IRS and that fees and all that were paid AND that funds were sent to my bank account, however, when I check with Chase, there is nothing there, nothing pending. AHHGHGHGHH!!! This is torture!! I guess the one good thing is I am a 2/5er, and I’m sure the funds will be there when they say they will. Oh, and next year, I’m paying the TT fees upfront. This is the first year I ever opted to have fees taken from my refund.

LIBERTY TAX IS NOW WITH SANTA BARBRA BANK AND TRUST. i FILED WITH THEM ALSO. i HAVE A DIRECT DEPOSIT DATE AND NOTHING. What they have on the 8863 issues: if the IRS received before Jan 27, will hold until mid Feb. even though they are “processing” they aren’t really processing. Apparently any dates given (2/7, 2/11 or 2/15) weren’t given by her, and as such, she can’t answer why they are being given out.

I bank with BOA. I haven’t received anything yet. I did call BOA. They wont look to see if you have a pending deposit but said they post deposit to the account as soon as they get it. Don’t know how true that is but we will see.

My dd date was 2/6 but I got my DD on to my NetSpend card on 2 / 3 at 930 p.m. and funds were available at that time for me to use

My husband and I filed our taxes with liberty tax, our return was accepted and approved and we were given a dd date of 2-1-2013…here we are one 2-4-2013 and still no dd!My bank doesnt even show it as pending..This has never happened before to us, we elected to have the tax preparer fee taken out from our refund(which we’ve done every year)so I know it is sent to liberty tax’s bank first..so I called to see if they had at least recieved my refund because I can no longer get any info from wheres my refund on the irs site or the hotline and Liberty tax refuses to give me any info and they wont even tell me if they still bank with Republic bank anymore…from what Ive been reading about them online is they were trying to end their contract with republic bank but I can’t find if they actually did end it…They also have a lot of other stuff going on! so I dont think they are being completely honest with us, something is going on! I’ve filed with them for a few years now and this has never happened..is anyone else having issues with them? can someone at least tell me if you’ve experienced something similar or maybe ease my mind and tell me you filed with them and recieved your refund?

i filed on 1/28 accepted 1/29 processing for 4 days then went to review. Called IRS today and after talking the rep into looking up my return she said still processing. Not sure if this is accurate or not. I do have a schedule C, Filed HOH, and claim my nephew same as I did last year because I am his legal guardian with a court order. i have filed with a schedule C and W2 for the last 8 years never an issue.

Personally I have seen so many people comment on this review process I have no idea who is right, some say the review is generated by computer and may only cause a delay of a couple of days. Others say it can hold your refund for weeks or months.

Mine is still processing, accepted on the 31st. Called and they have it, but my name is listed wrong with the IRS, so I may not get my refund without sending in documents (that I can’t send in until they send me a letter, the rep told me not to bother, they will get lost). I really hope that we start seeing 1/31 dd dates soon, at least then I will know if it’s coming or if I’m stuck waiting until after the 20th. :(

Hello everyone, I’m with Bank of America and don’t see anything when I sign into our online banking. I’ll just be happy with it being there Wednesday morning. Hopefully BOA isn’t gonna hold it forever, not sure since this is our first time filing our own taxes without getting a RAL and putting it on a prepaid card or getting a paper check. I feel alot better paying 14.95 than 500.00 or more. All my money is mine. Paid the fees upfront! Everyone plz. keep us all posted, does anyone else here have BOA or money going into a regular account?

Just because you file before somebody doesn’t mean you’ll be processed before them. There isn’t one waiting line there’s a whole bunch of waiting lines (servers). Try to compare it to checking out at the grocery store on a super busy day. Some lines (servers) are moving way faster and smoother than others. If your return is taking way too long then you’re probably in line (server) 5 with the lady ahead of you that has 150 coupons (deductions) that disputes prices (errors) then has to fill out a check and balance her check book prior to exiting the lane (server). Basically, that’s what it’s like. You’re in one of many lines and you may or may not get out fast depending on who and how many people are ahead of you in that particular line (server).

I just wanted to post this before I forgot. Not only may some returns take more steps between points A and B they may take different (slower or faster) routes. For example: Michelle and Maria are friends that are going to get their taxes done together. They work at the same place, make the same amount of money and everything on their returns will be identical except the names, and SSN’s. They walk into the tax preparation office together finish their taxes and walk out together. Now you would think they should get their refunds back the same day. But, Michelle’s return was sent to IRS server #1 (made up name) with a million returns already in it and Maria’s was sent to IRS server #2 (made up name) with only 100,000 returns in it. To make matters worse IRS server #1 happens to have a lot of complicated returns that need processed prior to checking Michelle’s return while server #2 has already processed Maria’s return. Needless to say, Maria gets her refund and Michelle remains in processing for a little while longer.

I’m sorry, I know that I may not have all of the facts but the concept is right.

Well I tried calling this morning and had absolutely no luck in finding out why I am under review. She just told me it’s too early to find out anything about my return. She wouldn’t even look up my info. Just told me to wait 3 weeks to see if my status updates. What the heck is the call center there for then if they can’t answer questions that are actually deemed important other than people calling trying to get a friggin’ DD date after filing hours ago! SMH. Hopefully something comes in the mail today. I don’t want this getting dragged out too long.

I just got off the phone with the IRS and they stated I have a projected date of the 11th for a refund. Lets see how true that is, hope so. If you call the IRS do not tell them that you filed the 8863. And when they ask you to chek online, tell them you cant get on, and they will review your file and let you know what is your projected date. Good Luck everyone!

I was accepted on 1/25 with form 8863. My State return finished final processing stage on 1/31. It says my State will be mailed on or before 2/14, so I am thinking our Federal returns with 8863 form will arrive right around 2/11.

I filed and was accepted on 1/31 when I checked wmr it says my info is wrong and to reenter. Then when I do that it tells me to wait 24hrs after I receive the email stating that it was accepted. So I called the office on Friday and was toldthat they have my return and it was processing and war should have updated but it still have not.

I filed on 1/30 early in the morning and got accepted around 3 PM central time. I checked it this morning at 5 AM and it updated to a 2/7 direct deposit date!
