Its official 2/14/13 for 8863ers
Just read this:
Starting on Sunday, Feb. 10, the IRS will start processing tax returns that contain Form 4562, Depreciation and Amortization. And on Thursday, Feb. 14, the IRS plans to start processing Form 8863, Education Credits.

I am in similar situation. DDdate 2/8 but SBBT shows nothing . WMR never updated for me and haven’t had the bar for days now. I got the date by calling and speaking with a rep.
I was given dd date of 2/8 but nothing is showing anywhere yet. Worried!
I was finally able to order our return transcript last night for the first time. No dd yet today and when I called they won’t look up the info but I did have a debt that I owed last year from 2008 that I paid and wanted to make sure that it showed my payment so she did look that up. We have a new address this year and when I called a few days ago it was still showing our old address but today it showed the new address and phone number that I put on my return so I am hoping to see a dd soon. I am thinking that just about everyone that called in today is getting a date of 2/13 so I am thinking that might be my date. If I am not mistaken last year my dd was on a Wednesday too.
I filed and got accepted on Feb.1 this morning I was finally able to order my transcript(need it for school), but no update on when I will get my money…..and the site seems to be down as well.
Okay so I filed on the 31st was accepted on the 31st. I’m still being told processing but I was able to order transcripts this morning, How long after everyone order transcripts were they getting deposit dates?
Still no update for me. I really wish I had been one of the lucky ones to get my refund quick and early. Too bad, so sad. I guess no Vegas for me. . .
I just called JTH they said they are not Liberty Tax bank but they will only give you the same information IRS do on their website. I was suppose to get my DD on the 5th and I still have not recieved it from liberty tax bank. I am really irritated I called them and they keep giving me the run around well I am over it and I am never filing with them again. Everyone who filed online has gotten their on the DD date or before. Ugh every angry.

I haven’t posted in a few days because I didn’t want to discourage other people. I was set for dd on 2/6 and finally got it this morning! Never again will I use HR Block and have them take out fees. This is the first time it has taken so long and the first time I used HR Block… it could be a coincidence but maybe not

Yes, ordering transcripts is positive. Finally updated today with a DD if 2/12. Was accepted 1/31 thru HRB free-file.
Finally updated! Return accepted 1/30 now this am finally DD of 2/14. At least the progress bar even advanced.
and now it’s 02/08 7am Pacific time and sbbt still hasn’t gotten my deposit
Accepted 2/1. Only getting one bar, 21 day message on WMR and I was finally able to order both transcripts last night.

I filed 1/29/2013. Was received by IRS on the 30th per FREETAXUSA. I am STILL pending as of this morning. I did however, call the transcript hotline and FINALLY was able to order BOTH transcripts. What I mean by that.. I could order the RETURN and if there were any changes… So, I am finally hoping for some good news soon.
Mine has not posted yet. It has to hit SBBT first but I am CST and they are in Ca. Hoping to see it when they open then in my bank overnight.
So today is D-day. Now here’s a cool little twist. WMF shows refund approved status, but when i checked my account the DD was already there.
As Peanut stated, it will get there!Refund arrived on time on DD date 02/08/13. Were accepted shortly before noon CT on 01/31/13.

No updates for me this morning :( Anyone get anything yet?
I woke up this morning to my Orange Status bar back and a DD of 2/12/13. Woo! We were a late acceptance on 1/30 (9pm CST), and my status bar completely went away 2 days ago, and I couldn’t order transcrips, check on the IRS2G0 app or the hotline, I was quite worried.
Hopefully others will have the same luck!

Ok, here’s my story:
Used Turbotax. Filed 1/24, accepted 1/26. 1 W-2, EIC with 3 kids, same as last 3 years.
WMR and hot line have been processing ever since. No codes or review messages.
I called yesterday and the rep wasn’t helpful, said they didn’t get my return on 1/26, that they got it 1/31. Said everything looked ok, just give it 3 weeks (21 days).
Called again this morning since I still didn’t get an update on WMR, rep looked and said I had a hold on my return but she didn’t know why. She didn’t see any codes or anything and said they haven’t mailed out a letter. If they need anything they will mail one out but just figure 45 days before its released!
So I called this afternoon to see if another rep seen something different. Nope, it’s under review, she doesn’t know why. I may get a letter, maybe, if they need info. I asked her why WMR doesn’t say I’m under review and she said its not accurate.
I am soooo annoyed with this whole thing!I’ve had the message: We are still processing your return..a refund date will be provided..had this message since Monday Feb 4th
an IRS rep told me my return is at the service center
I just called HR Block..held for 30 minutes and they were no help..gave me same generic reply as the IRS..I need to allow 21 days
I think our returns were pulled for a “test batch” of some sort

wonder if I should re-file?I hope you’re right Julia! I started seeing this message today, and there was an error on my return that was corrected yesterday. I called and the rep seemed very positive that I would be receiving my return “very soon”, she couldn’t give me a date though.
It will show up on the day of your DD at 12am.
I got it too, submitted somewhere around the 24th, accepted on the 30th. Got a text from HRB just like randomly in the middle of the day on 2/1 saying “Congratulations! The IRS has accepted your federal tax return.”
At the time, I assumed they were just behind on things. But I suspect now that that was when they “really” accepted it. Have been processing with 1 bar since it was “first” accepted on the 30th, but today it switched to the still being processed, a refund date will be provided when it is available message with no bar. Rumor has it that means I should have a ddd tomorrow morning? Got my fingers crossed.
No offsets, no fees, no education credit, no message so far that I am being reviewed or any other reason to believe I might be delayed, mfj, eic, 2 children (1 born in 2012), dd to a regular bank account. Am I missing anything? :)

I was worried why the text came on 2/1.after I was accepted 1/30…I just figured it was delayed
I am starting to see a pattern here..maybe if we hear from more HRB customers with this same problem..we can figure it outI’m starting to think this message comes up when the refund is ready, but there is still something processing on the deposit end. Like if the resulting deposit date would have been a weekend, or if they’re still trying to validate the bank info.
Totally just a wild guess, obviously, but in the absence of any other theories, I figured I’d throw that out there.
I agree with UGHHHHH… Call them if you feel like there is a problem with your return and are stuck processing for a week! They are NOT the ones working on the returns. That IS their job to answer the phones and it is OUR returns and INFORMATION we are calling about. I would not call if it were only a day or two… but, after a week and still processing… Yep, call and see what is wrong if you CAN get lucky enough to find someone willing enough to take the time and look.
Yep, me too. I was accepted (received) on the 31st. I am still on processing bar. I talked with a man at IRS finally. He said they have it and there is a garnishment for back taxes. I asked, does that hold it up .. he said NOT AT ALL.. it takes the money right off and a check is cut. I am getting annoyed with not even having the bar move to accepted. This happened two years ago. I fell into what they called a bad batch, and it kept kicking our returns back through… IT TOOK almost two months to get my dd. RIDICULOUS! I haven’t been able to order transcripts either. I will update when I get any new news! UGH.
I filed and was accepted on the 29th. Still Processing. It’s so aggravating to keep seeing the same message every damn day. . .SIGH.
Hello… I just have a question. I filed my taxes with Taxbrain, and they use SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group) they (SBTPG) received my money today and took out the appropriate fees. I still have not received a deposit to my walmart money card. I called the 800 number on the back of my card to see if was still active ( just to be safe I called 3 times) and they all said that my card was still active and there was no problems with my card. So my question is what time does SBTPG transfer money to your bank and what time will it show up? Thank you

I received this letter today it was very general and nothing specific as to why I am under review… I’m glad to know I am not the only one… Now for some reason my State (MI) has been pending acceptance since the 30th but today for some reason it was approved. As for my info

I have Ed Credit (Delayed till Mid Feb) CTC and profit and loss from self employment W2’s and a over 7k refund amount… I hope there is some info soon…. I was reading on the TT site last year this happen to ALOT of people… i filed though TA will post back when I get more InfoI’m glad to see some of you are get DDD. I’m still getting the one bar, 21 day message on WMR and am still unable to order any transcripts. :/

filed via taxslayer 1/17 was accepted on 01/30 approved and given dd of 02/06 on 02/02 finally ay 3 am this morning irs wmr says dd sent 02/06 but here it is 02/07 at 1pm and SBBT says they havent received anything yet!?!?

Anyone who filed on 2/4 have anything other than the “your return is being processed/21 day” msg? It’s way too early to be crazy about it, but just wondering considering that so many ppl who filed on the 30th and 31st still don’t have their $ yet.

Also like someone else mentioned I have had far greater success with the men looking up my file. I usually try to ask them how their day is going and engage in some conversation while they are looking up my info (ie. weather, where they are located, sports, etc).
hackney2009: 1st objective is to try to get them to open your file and look at it. Ask them that you just wanted to check to see if you have any errors or any debt indicators/offsets, flags, or under manual review on your file. They have to look at your return to find that information out. Once they have your file open then you can ask what you really want to know. If your refund was reduced then at that point ask them about the reduction and if they can tell you why the reduction.
Sometimes it takes multiple calls to get someone that is willing to help as many of them are trained to be rude and not open your file.
Deuce1911 what questions did you ask? I want to call and try to get some answers for myself but I don’t want to get railroaded

Eh, those reps don’t touch our returns, their job is to talk to us. They are CSR’s, not IRS agents. Mostly temp workers, hired on to take our OCD calls. :)

That is why I was throwing the 21 day waiting period out there, people seem to forget that as they see others get there DD
For everyone who is tracking thru WRM and it is incorrect there are millions more that it does work for that is a fact The IRS will process 150 million returns most of them with in the 21 days

I filed on the 28th and got a message from HRB online that it could not be submitted until the 30th. I got an email at 9:30am that the IRS had accepted my return. I then got a text message on 2/1 from HRB that the IRS had accepted my return.
I cannot order any type of transcript and I have been processing with the 21day message since I started checking WFM.
Anyone else in this situation? Anyone get a DD yet that was/is in this situation?
On mine it said it got accepted on the 25 but i have the education credit thought it would reject but it didntt mine still says pending As of feb 7,2013
If their tracking tools worked and gave accurate updated information it would be a whole lot easier to have the confidence to just wait.

2013taxpayer : my refund was higher.. it was funny though I called yesterday when I received the letter monday evening and they could not find anything wrong with my return. I just played dumb and asked questions. Then when I told them about the letter they put me on hold and finally found the code.
When I was with my CPA today on the conference call today on the line he called they answered the call in less than 2 minutes… asked for his ID information and mine and looked at everything we asked them to. The person we spoke with said the code is nothing to be alarmed and basically just holds the funds in case someone wants to look at the return. He was searching for a reason why the return would of been held and then he asked how much it was for and when I told him over $7000 he then said that was the reason due to the high dollar amount. Said I should still receive it within the 21 day time frame like WMR is stating from the 28th which for me would be 2/18.
also not to confuse anyone lol….i’m the sister of this username. my sis got her refund already.
“I called my CPA and we conference called with the IRS Practioner Priority Services group in which they look up your return. I was flagged because of the size of the refund. He said nothing looks out of order just a code that slows up the return if someone wants to take a look at it hence the letter issued by the system.
He says I started processing on the 28th even though the 25th was the acceptance date I received. He said the refund is still scheduled to be disbursed within the 21 day time frame and nothing to be alarmed about. He said this letter is just the systems way to slow up the process to allow additional time IF someone wants to take a look at it. If it goes beyond the 21 days then there will be another letter but NO manual review right now and no flags outside of this code. Hope that gives everyone a little hope.”
@duece1911 Thank you so much for this helpful information!!! My refund is $3405, I’m wondering if I was flagged because that amount. Is your refund close to my amount?The form list updated on IRS.gov last night. I spoke to TT a couple times as well in the past couple days and they told me that my return should be accepeted late next week (14/15). Who knows anymore, but this seems to be in-line with what the IRS said from the begining.
I know you’re right, Yanking. The funny thing is, I wouldn’t even be obsessing over it like this if I wasn’t on this website seeing people who filed after me get their DDD’s and/or hard deposits. THAT is what is driving me crazy.

The IRS does say 21 days for a refund, sure some folks are getting there refund much faster and that is great
I filed on the 31st like most of you in this thread. I check WRM daily. However I will not be calling the IRS until the 22nd day. Why ? Because the IRS says to contact them if you do not get the refund in 21 days.
Come on folks, lets let the IRS do there job.
I told the reps that I couldn’t get through on the WMR. It was true, but it was prob because I checked too many times that day. (I didn’t tell them I knew that ;). The first rep wouldn’t access my acct, just gave me 21 day spiel. The second rep was kind and just pulled up my info. I guess it comes down to luck/if you get a nice rep.
I filed using FREETAXUSA on 1/28, got my accepted email 1/31 around 9pm… WMR has been processing ever since.. I was able to order transcript. Still waiting for DDD.. Anyone with my dates getting anywhere?

@peanut I have wellsfargo as well. They do not shoe anything pending. From other post they seem to get our deposits the noting of the deposit date
I just got off the phone with another rep, and i’m always very polite and thank then for taking time out to help me out.
This lady wasn’t ‘rude’ but certainly wasn’t friendly either :)
She took my information, and said it hasn’t been 21 days and that it is still showing in process and there is NO deposit date given yet. So maybe that is where i’m at with mine and I just need to grow some patience…haha! :)
I’ll wait to see what I can find out online tomorrow or just wait till next week :) Our state refund should be deposited into our bank tomorrow so that is a plus :)
