Single & have no deductions.
Been Stuck in Purgatory since then. Yesterday the status changed to this:Your tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available.
What does this mean? Is this good news or bad news?
I’m hearing the 152 thing means you are going to receive your DDD soon! Good news for you. Nothing here for me yet, wmr is still down aNd I haven’t been able to get in at all yet today. Maybe they are updating again? Anyone else know if they update on Sunday’s? I’m really hoping to at least get a DDD this week sometime! Just a freaking date and I’ll be happy! Ugh. All of this waiting makes me antsy. Maybe I need some anxiety meds!
@Matthew – Im in the same situation. I filed 1/22. Accepted 1/28. Saw the bars the first time I looked in WMR saying it was recieved and processing. Ever since then when I log on to check, if they can actually find me it says return processing and a deposit date will be given when they have one. Never any codes.
Ive called and spoken to two people and after a long wait all they can tell me is that my return is under review. Why I have no idea. I have not received any letters from the IRS at all. Like you I moved last year but the new address is on my return and on my W2. But when I tried to order transcript it says the information I entered does not match their records. Hmmm.
I see people freaking out and they just sent theirs – they should try to imagine how we’re feeling. I just want some kind of answers. I can’t take being in limbo. Im getting migraines daily from the stress of maybe being audited.
Filed and accepted 2/5 and been in processing ever since with the one orange bar. Only thing thats changed is the tax topic 152 thing on the bottom. Im hoping sometime tommorrow we will get an update. Hasnt been to long yet….but would just like the bar to go to refund approved :0) thats all
@cbagne so sad:( I just want a DDD. I will feel so much better whn I get a date. So many people are getting DDD. Here’s to hoping they update tonight and we get a date tomorrow!
Filed. 2/5 accepted within minutes been stuck in processing with one orange bar…. Hoping to see some progress tomorrow with a dd date or a dd:-). *fingers crossed*
Abby, same here. I called the hotline and got the 21 day hoopla and was actually able to get into wmr for a moment and still just had one orange bar and 21 day message, no deposit date :( I’m so sad. Lol I think wmr is supposed to be down today until 7pm (eastern) tonight so I’m hoping for some change after then.

I have been filing the same since 2008 nothing different .I claim my 3 kids that is it simple return. My husband filed 2/1 accepted 2/1 and got a DDD of 2/11 .. I am like WTF ?? I hopt to get some kind of update soon . Anyone get and update today ?
As per Megabradybunch, maybe not supposed to post here, but I want to, so I will. I also filed on the 30th, accepted on the 31st,,,as of 2/8 Ive had no DDD on WMR or IRS2Go or Hotline. So i called customer service 2/8, spoke to Xavier, told him my concerns of my bank account not matching up with the filed return. He kindly looked it up, verified routing/account info, and informed me that I am Done, fully processed, and have a DDD of 2/13, and to expect it in my account that day, and to call back if its not in. As of today, 2/10 the WMR, IRS2Go, or Hotline# do not say this. But as I said, according to IRS CSR, Its all done. So all of you 1/31ers with no DDD,,,You very well may have been processed and have a DDD, but its not showing up yet,,, just like mine. Call the SPEAK TO A HUMAN # 2morow and double check. Your probably all set to get it 2/13 or 2/14 as well. Good Luck, and I”m sure this is the case.
…….PS….(My neighbor never had bars move on the WMR site either and she checked her account on 2/8 morning, and her money was in,,,with status bar never have moved from “we have received your return and its being processed”) : ) : ) Its how its going for many people.I called and got the Same old still processing will receive within 21 days. I checked online and website is down. Maybe tomorrow morning? Do they only update wmr once a day? and in the morning? Any other 2/6 people get a refund date today?
I filed 1/30 and was accepted 1/31. I still have the 1 bar and the 21 day BS on WMR. I can’t order transcripts and I have called and it said I had no offsets. I filed the same as I have for the past 3 years.

good luck to all keep us postedOkay, I filed on 1/30 and was accepted on the same day. On both WMR and the IRS hotline I have been getting the same generic 21 day message. Saturday, I got the dreaded 4464c letter in the mail. It has a 0 code on it. However, when I check WMR and the hotline, I’m still getting the same 21 day processing message. Is there a chance that this letter was just a glitch?
Why would you having a $8000 refund have anything to do with you not getting a DDD yet? My Fed is for $7800, only because we claimed 6 all year to get more in our checks,,,, But why would that have anything to do with getting or not getting a DDD? I’m confused
the wmr and hotline both say processing today and refund will be available in 21 days and no letter sent out yet…but when called on friday was told refund on hold and under review…quite confusing
I don’t understand how 3 reps said its still processing and one says its in review call back and its processing?

Ok, I have been stalking this page for a while, so I thought I might as well chime in. I filed on the 26th with TaxAct, went from “federal Return Received” for a couple days and then when we found output the delay on the 8863 I changed to “Awaiting Acceptance”. So, from what I have read I think that means that TA hasn’t even sent it to the IRS yet, is that correct? I see alot of people talk about what TT says, but not many people with TA. I am hoping that my return will sent over earlier than the 14th, but at this point, I am not counting on anything.
Oh, and the last time I check with WMR (a few days ago), it says they have no info with me. I am praying we all have our refunds soon!!!I filed and was accepted 1/31. I have had no change on wmr it has just said processing with no codes. I wish they would let me know if I was under review or not. I file simple tax returns, no eic or anything. I am giving it until wednsday and if I dont see an update I will call and see whats up. Good luck to all.
I filed 1/22. Accepted 1/28. Was told by two IRS people my return is under review but neither could tell me why. WMR has told me the same thing always – Return being processed. Will give me a deposit date when available. As of this morning still nothing. But no codes or letters either. Tired to order transcripts but it says information in file does not match what I entered. Really? I know my own addess and I entered new address on return so why doesnt it match? I give up.
So I’ver called IRS, told me that it looks like potential fraud is holding my return..she wasn’t sure..have yet to get a letter..accepted 26th, order trans 2nd..
I am thinking when i do get this letter is it going to be the identity affidavid..if so could I fill that out now..

i filed a claim on 2009, stating my taxes were done w/o my knowledge…one visit, i never followed up because it was my ex girlfriend (daughters mother), i just wanted to let go..’
lady on the phone knew this whole story and she really thinks with all the little notes on my account that this 2009 fraud stuff is comming up…

Filed 4 returns 2 on 2/4 accepted 1 on 2/4 other pending for education credits, other 2 on 2/5 accepted 2/5. All accepted was able to order transcript 2/8. 2/9 dd of 2/13 on all :)
Just to confirm if there is a code on your letter 4463C would it appear after the C? I just wan to have my facts straight when I call the holds department in the morning. I hope so as two reps told me I should still receive refund within 21 days and this error code is nothing to worry about. When I asked what the error code was the one rep said it was an “internal” code. I did confirm I was re sequenced also.
For the first few times I called I acted like I knew nothing about the letter and asked if the following:
Are there any debt indicators on my account: No
Are there any flags on my account : No
Are there any holds on my account : No
Has my return be re sequenced : after putting me on hold … Yes
Do you have a DDD for me: Not showing one but it should be within 21 days
Why did I receive a letter 4464C: Put me on hold to go and find the letter…aked me what the letter said again trying to confirm things and then told me this code is nothing to be alarmed about. As he searched for a reason he asked me how much was refund and told him over 8k and he stated “ah ok that is why you may have received the letter”1. File 1/20, accepted as part of test batch 1/25 IRS rep says really accepted 1/28 (as of Friday Return not processed yet per rep)
2. No Education Credits
3. I can only order account transcript which I received and it is blank
4. Just says processing on App and WRM and 21 should receive refund
5. Received 4464C dated 2/1/13
6. Return over 8k
7. EIC, W-2, 2 dep

Filed 1/30 Accepted 1/30. Still processing with Tax Topic 152. Never have been delayed before Ive always gotten my check on time. I have to add that I usually get EIC for 2 of my kids, this year I claimed my 3 kids. Also I always filed Schedule C’s previous years but not this year. I had a straight uncomplicated return and this is the first year I have been so delayed. I know I have to school loan offsets as of right now…Freaking out here!!!!!

okay I think I jumped the gun with that blog post… disregard… my head hurts from reading that one….lol but long story short…. TT had a huge mess up and had to give everyone there filing fees in 2010…
@2013taxpayer …. don’t feel bad you are not the only one… lol… but at this point as long as it doesn’t say under review… I can cope with that… not happy @ all but hoping that no news is good news at least for now

I too filed on the 26th but was accepted on the 28th for my fed and 31st for state. I got a message for my state saying it was processed on 2/1 and received it on the 8th. As for my fee still no update sine the 31st. Received and processing generic 21 day crap. I have no offsets and haven’t received any review letters. Could order trans on 2/5. I dont see how state could go through fine and feds a hold up. Its all the same information!!! Will keep you posted to any changes. Hopefully we get some answers soon. Im tired of people who filed after me geeting ddds and dd. My mother in law filed 2/5 and got a ddd for 2/13 last night!
Wanted to add our return has been the same for multiple years, nothing has changed, we get EIC, CTC.

2. ordered BOTH transcripts on 2/4
Have called several times, told still in processing. Called again Friday and was told it was in review. That there was no letter sent out, no red flags. No errors, no codes…..
WMR just says processing and a date will be provided when available which it has said from day one, no status bar either, no error codes. Only code is the one about refund deposits.still processing *sigh*

Finally an update ddd 2/14(my birthday). Happy Birthday to me!!!! This should be all of our week. Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone.
Just got my ddd of 2/14 (which is my birthday) finally at almost 1 am CST. Best present ever.
I hope so. I filed my boyfriends same day and he got his 2/8. I tried both and got the same thing.

Filed 2/1 with turbo tax, accepted less than an hour later on 2/1. Had the status bars stuck on processing until Thursday night. It disappeared and now has a message of still being processed refund date when available. The hotline was saying just still processing then that message changed to match WMR also on Thursday. I tried ordering transcripts early this week and was not able to, haven’t tried again. I have called the offset line at the begining and end of the week and shows no amounts owed.

I am an ETech (Electronic Technician) for the Internal Revenue Service. Code 9001 (in fact any 9000 series code) pertains to any system updates we perform. It does not mean you have been chosen to be audited, nor does it mean you have been selected for manual review. The only you can know if you have been audited is by certified USPS. The only way you can know you have been selected for manual review is to call and speak to a representative. Keep in mind that tens of thousands of people call daily. Some of them multiple times; in case you didn’t know, when you call your number is saved into our system as a point of reference (so we know when you last called and what you spoke to a representative about at that time). Also keep in mind that due to call volumes a lot of reps do not reference that info. *** We update our computer systems from 8pm on Friday(s) until 8am Monday(s). Your best time to call the AUTOMATED line is after business hours on Monday and Tuesday. The IRS does send out Direct Deposits on a daily basis, HOWEVER – with the system crash we had DD’s are being bundled. Most if not all DD’s will be sent out Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of the week. Also got the review message on the wmr site . . For those who received only their federal witheld without the eic portion, how long did you receive that after you got the status on wmr. And have you received your letter before they deposited it? I just got that message yesterday and was wondering about how long before I can at least see some kind of deposit.
I filed and was accepted 2/2/2013 with HRB. I have the EIC and after this mornings update I got the reference code 9001 which seems to mean my return will be delayed at least a week. I’m hoping after this update I will see something different.
okay who broke the hotline… and WMR… jk jk… @squidney2k1 sometimes a new bundle of joy can flag the system… especially a new SS number… if you called and they said there wasn’t a problem I wouldn’t worry as much… if you don’t get your return or get a letter with a code… then start worrying… i posted the info on the codes a few pages up so you can look….i also think that all of this transcript checking is causing lots of problems… any one with a computer knows that they some time do what they want and if you keep forcing it to do something it gets mad at you and starts thinking with that stupid hour glass…so after 15 minutes you have to shut it down and start all over…. now imaging that times 9 million…but i also could be wrong….I am no tax expert by any means but after all of this drama i know could very well know more than those mean people telling us just to wait…. I am more so trying to reassure myself more than anybody else but if I can ease other people tension at the same time why not… lol
I filed and was accepted on 1/31. Married/Joint return, 2 dependents, EIC. As of right now (2/9/13) I still have no new information. I’ve been in processing since LATE on the 31st. IRS customer service says they can’t help me until it’s been the full 21 days since I filed. I tried the whole transcript thing tonight and it says that they cant find me in the system. I’ve NEVER had to wait this long to get my return. How many more out there are “31sters” that still have no dd?
I think they do updates tonight so check tmw!

@squidney2k1 i had been getting the under review notice got letter today im being audited even though when i call the reps told me i was not under review and even gave me a dd 2/18.

I have a record of it being paid, but I don’t know where I put it at the moment. Do you guys think I can get a record from my payroll department? Also, if I truly do have an offset, shouldn’t I have received some kind of letter and shouldn’t my debt be reflected on the offset hotline? It never was and still isn’t. It’s saying NO DEBTS.
okay here an update from this 2/7er here went to the wmr no info found. Asking for the.additonal stuff.. blah blah can’t find me now… ugh whats going on ppl it had the.bar processing before. I’m not even getting topic 152 . Should I wait for next update but when?
@Mega I’m not saying every last “under review” is a glitch I’ve gotten confirmation that mine was indeed a glitch due to the testing that they did so I basically said if you had a similar situation as mine then it could very well be…i posted that a few pages ago sorry wasn’t trying to give false hope…BUT being audited and under review are totally different and not to be confused.

@ mrs daw thank you i will be faxing this hugh stack of papers tomorrow morning bright and early. i have birth certificates for all three kids, socials, report cards, transcripts for one, prescription receipts with their names and address, rental agreement and letter from my land lord. i sure hope this is enough. maybe i should wait til tuesday in case i need more letters from the school.

Refund less than 4k.Tried to check so I could post the exact message but WMR is currently unavailable, many folks woke up to 2/13 ddd so maybe its updating for the 2/14’s or maybe its just flooded with a bunch of people lol

@pb ugh that sucks sorry you have to go through that. Hopefully you can get that fixed as quickly as possible and still get your refund by 2/18
@Holly my WMR says 21 day processing message with a status barand I forget who I read earlier but the tax topic 152 isn’t bad or indicative of review just general info about direct deposit, I only commented because someone asked about having 151
