Was wonder if anybody got their momey before the 14th?
So i just checked WMR and I have a new message “Your return is still being processed a refund date will be provided blah blah blah” Went and tried to order my return transcripts and it went through…here’s hoping for a DDD soon…I will keep everyone posted and as always I ask that you do the same. I f/a’d 2/6. I was just now able to order transcript but declined. I know it’s been processed because this is the first time it has recognized the new address. Shouldn’t be too much longer for a direct deposit date. :)
Has anyone had any luck with a tax advocate? I tried calling them today, the woman answered and I told her my story and she said she’d transfer me to someone who could help me but then transferred me right back to the IRS customer service number!
UPDATE: I was able to order both transcripts this evening.
Just an update, not sure when it was available because I haven’t checked in a few days, but I was just now able to order RETURN transcripts 10:38. So I know it’s not a DDD yet, but its something to hold on to and better than no info at all. Hoping the best for all of us and good news soon.
I didnt qualify for the child tax credit but I did qualify for the ADDITIONAL child tax credit
Does it have something to do with your bank? Like maybe posting to your account? Did you ask to verify you banking info? That does sound weird. Hope it gets fixed for you
Hey Guys I am from the filed/accepted 1/30-1/31 crew. From what I have read from everyone over there is that the WMR website is unreliable. The 800# works better and sometimes gives a date when website don’t. Also read that some people got their money without ever having a date on the site or through the 800#. I would just keep checking your accounts. Oh by the way I am still processing with date being provided when available. Going by that chart hopefully I will be this week too.
@txgirl I sure will keep you guys updated.I really hope it comes this week. My sons birthday is this week and I can’t really do anything for his birthday without it. I come on here every night after work. It become an addiction to see everyone’s updates
To all , I called.irs they are of no.help, they.didn even ask for my s.s.n just keep.to.the.generic of.21 days.the WMR will.let you know the rest, what can u do.demand them to look & delay even further . rock in a.hard place, just give me a.ddr, plse!
I filed and was accepted 2/5 about 10pm. Processing Orange bar 6th or 7th. Topic 152 message and 21 day message 2/8. Nothing since and can’t order transcripts. Don’t want to call yet- too soon. I would like a ddd or somethin– anything. I just want to know there is nothing wrong. Lots of dif forms.

So I can understand it may take a while, but hoping for some kind of date and no reviews(would not be surprised though)HollyD … I’m not sure what it means but I have seen a lot of others who ordered transcripts and already receive their refunds say that they had the same date listed on their transcripts. It’s probably a projected BY ddd. At least that’s what I’m assuming.
txgirl… too long! lol I believe Jeepgirl got her refund already. Mscalahan probably did as well since we haven’t seen her either. I’m hoping that we at least have a DDD by the end of the week. Really, if the 21 days is pretty accurate than we would have to seeing as how 21 days would be up next week.
I don’t know I’m confused all the way around I just hope that’s it or something else that should be an easy fix. Thank you for the info I think I will attempt to research it and if I find something I will post it.

Thank you soo much for this post. I checked mine and sure enough they were all blank so I assume that is the problem. But one thing I couldn’t figure out (could be it didn’t really say or I missed it due to having a 7 month old with pneumonia and rsv so I am very tired) but what happens now or do you know? Will they fix it or reject and I submit again? But thanks again!!
I got my transcripts today and it lists a processing date of 2/18 anyone know what that means and why it has that listed?

Ok I think I found the problem, read this i copied it, look at your child tax credit form 8812, In part one you have 4 boxes a b c and d. There should be a x on yes or no on all 4, if yours are blank thats the problem,
Subject: Schedule 8812, Child Tax Credit Attached to Form 1040 or Form 1040A ________________________________________ We have observed instances in which the Schedule 8812 is attached to form 1040 and 1040A and is not filled out correctly. These instances are causing downstream processing delays. We have experienced the following two conditions: (1) The Schedule 8812 Part 1 checkboxes A, B, C, and D are checked when taxpayers list a dependent child with an SSN qualifying for child tax credit and (2) The Schedule 8812 Part 1 checkboxes A, B, C, and D not being checked when taxpayers have a child with an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) on Form 1040 and 1040A line 6c identified as qualifying for the child tax credit in column 4. The Schedule 8812 instructions direct the taxpayer to: “Use Part I of Schedule 8812 to document that any child for whom you entered an ITIN on Form 1040, line 6c; Form 1040A, line 6c; or Form 1040NR, line 7c; and for whom you also checked the box in column 4 of that line, is a resident of the United States because the child meets the substantial presence test and is not otherwise treated as a nonresident alien.” We are working to implement Business Rules to reject these incorrectly completed returns with a date to be determined. In the interim, we request that software packages include an alert to help preparers identify inconsistencies when completing the Schedule 8812 and that communication be provided to the practitioner community to avoid delays in processing returns. No update on WMR or 800#, but I did however receive my 2012 return transcript in the mail that I ordered on 2/5. WTH? I can’t seem to find the 800# that I called last week to talk to a live person. I’m going to request they look to make sure I have the correct account number for my DD. Hopefully they’ll have more news then the glitchy WMR does if I can actually get them to look at something.
I really don’t mind that I don’t have my refund, I know that takes time but this whole thing of not even having a deposit date is what makes me nervous!
I sure hope so!!!! Please let me know when you actually get your refund! Than I can check. This whole thing is screwed up! Ugh! I haven’t even gotten a DDD yet!
I just call IRS got a rude person but was able to get some information. I filed with Turbo Tax on 2/7 was accepted on 2/7. When I check WMR on 2/9 I had one bar stating my refund was accepted. Yesterday it was down for the whole day. Today I have a 21 day message on the bottom. So back to IRS worker stating to me less than 2 hours ago my taxes are not in the system…LIKE WOW….he also reminds me of my offset which I told him I am aware of.Call the offset number put in my info and it tells me I do not owe anything….so long story I do not think the people in the IRS know what they are doing. I am like everyone here just wants a DDD and I will be fine.
I am from Florida. No Updates here still processing. I am hoping I will just have my money show up in my account one day this week.
efiled 1/25, accepted 1/30. I requested transcripts (like I do ever year) on 2/7 since I figured they would be done. Now I am “under review, May or may not contact you, blah blah blah.” After speaking to the IRS, I may be under review since a had a child born in October, so his new SSN might have drawn flags. It disturbs me that they can’t say exactly WHAT caused a total review: i.e. “your new dependent drew a flag;” “your return is too large;” “you’re claiming credits for the first time ever;” “it was a random review.” Etc etc etc.

@Squidney actually most of our WMR say the 21 processing but we have received a code less letter stating otherwise
@impatientlyawaiting mine isn’t blank, everything on it is filled out just like we have it in our records.
I just don’t understand why it lists our processing date as 2/18@abby86 – I think she was just telling you something to get you off the phone. Several people on not only this sight but others I have heard say they filed 2/5 or 2/6 and have a 13 or 14th dd. I think we r next up and will get a dd in the next 2 days. Think positive….
My account transcript is dated Feb 18th as well…..anyone else get theirs? I needed proof of filing on IRS letterhead, but this is useless. It says I have not filed, is all zeros, and dated the 18th.
@fnr0420 i hope so! mine still says processing and no code yet. i keep reading my letter from irs loke it’s gonna tell me something new hahahaha

keepithot….did your WMR ever update with a DDD or you just got a refund?
FNR0420 where did you get that info? Not saying your making it up, but Id like to see it for myself. I herd so many rummors its giving me a headache lol
@fnr0420 …that’s all good news, but seems like it will only affect those with WMR status of “still processing” without any update. The main issue here is the vast number of filers with a status of “Under Review” with no discernable reasons, or even confirmation of an actual review. Are we affected by any crash or glitch? Were we resequenced? What’s really going on with our returns? That’s what we want to know.

I found this on H&R block **************Ok this is my thought on the matter. Mine was sent to errors as well. I filed on 1/30 when the huge infux of people caused the system to crash.. they are doing a rebuild tonight on the MEF (Modernized E File) system. There were multiple errors caused because they had originally planned to have 2 schemas going to support 2 versions, however, they decided at the last minute to only use 1 schema. I don’t think a lot of the companies were prepared for that, and the software was not tested enough so anything that was sent before the 31st was automatically sent to errors because of the schema issue. They issued a tax alert Friday saying they have fixed the schema issue and it will go into effect on 2/11 (which is today).. I can bet you that there are going to be a lot of people getting Deposit Dates because they’ve found the fix.
file 1/28 accepted on 1/31.

Haven’t had GA to accept my return yet,but I’m wondering how things will go w/them this year. They aren’t the easiest to work with.
I wish you the best of luck with them. IF you end up owing them anything my advice is to pay them rather quickly. We did not and a debt of $700 increased to an extreme amount and then they took out a lien on us, which is now on our credit reports for several years. Its paid and all but getting it off your credit is damn near impossible and it cost us much more to obtain any loans or cc’s.
I do hope it doesn’t come to this for you and you get your refund. We had an offset where they took their money from our fed return last year,but our state return was processed first so they took all of that AND the FULL amount from our federal return. So we have now overpaid,but it looks like they just took that as a tip, because they won’t give it back to us. I don’t get it.

I just looked up IRS-individual and called that number. Rep said to the 20-21 is when it will be DDD from what she sees in the system.

Called and spoke to a live person today actually several of them, and I could hardly complete my sentence befor they started giving me the 21 day nonsense. I wonder if I just read a script hear at my job how long that would last. Getting very frustrated.
I filed and was accepted on 2/5 and was jus able to order my account transcript today… Hopefully wont regret ordering it tomorrow…. Gonna assume its a coincidence getting review after ordering transcripts…

Still processing 21 day message so called the holds department they said I called the wrong department told me to call 18008291040 I asked if there were any issues dont wanna call and hold for nothing she said there are issues call that number after holding for 20 mins a lady came on and got her to open my account she said she didnt see any issues if there is or more info needed they would send me a letter to wait the 21 days its normal processing and still no change call back. So I have been in 21 day processing hell since day one no letters or updates but received my state on the 8th?????Both my transcripts came today but still no letter……

My question is why does it say processing date: Feb. 18, 2013I filed and was accepted on 2/5 well before 11am….so if that chart was right my deposit should be there by the 13th but is still saying processing. The whole 21 day thing with the tax topic 152…which has been there for days as well. Nothing more for me…..so irritating. Tommorrow is a week and I havent even moved from processing to approved….I dont care if I get the money on the 13th….I would just like a date..thats all.
Ok so guess this may be a good place to try and figure out what’s going on with my personal return.
I filed on 01/29 and accepted on 01/31 shows still processing should receive refund in 21 days with topic 152 (the one about direct deposit). I filed hoh 1 regular w-2, a schedule c self employment but no deductions or anything for the self employment and it was only for like 7500 I made from side work, and 2 dependents my 9 year old son and baby that was born this past June.
I called last week and was just told everything looked fine by two different reps at IRS but I called this afternoon and the rep (who was very nice) said that do to high volume of returns I was delayed by a week and that I had been flagged for review so instead of 3 weeks it would take 4 from when I filed. I asked about a notice Nd she said that they would contact me if they needed anything from me. She also said that as soon as info was available it would update to keep checking either the wmr site or hotline. I saw someone else post about having a new baby and being flagged for review as well. Does anyone know if maybe that maybe the issue is just the new dependent? She didn’t say just said review and delayed by 1 week.
Also I was able to order account transcripts but not return (I need them for a loan I have been trying to get and getting the runaround about because of the self employment).I just received notice from GA that they want documentation regarding my schedule C deductions. They literally want me to copy all my receipts and milage logs and mail it all to them before they will pay my $2,000 refund. crazy. I hate GA….

I have dd of 2/13. I called suntrust, and they show my refund as a pending deposit that they received today. she said that they cannot post it prior to the release date on the dd. the release date is 2/13, so she said it will be in my account tomorrow night. this is probably the case for all suntrust customers, unless your dd is on a Monday – then they’d post Friday night because of the weekend….
Well according to the chart I should be getting my refund around the 13th…I filed just after midnight on 2/5 so technically it was 2/6 but well before 11am so since the 13th is a couple days from now you would think I should have a DDD by now but it just says processing, etc. I did call the IRS but she said to wait 3 weeks from when I was accepted :/ and wmr is driving me up the wall because it has me locked out….but the hotline still says processing. Does anyone know if the hotline gives you you your DDD if you have one?

yes, my ddd is 2/13… was hoping to see it today, but guess not. Everyone else seems to be getting it a day before their ddd… of the few usaa users I’ve seen, so I am expecting to see it in the morning. Went through turbo tax and paid the fees upfront, so don’t have to wait for that to be taken out and sent.
@kay…yeah, some good news, but still frustrating. Over the last 6 years, I’ve had to deal with this 3 times now, and usually didn’t get my return until June. If it’s not EIC eligibility, it’s Federal Ed Fund payments ($9.00 delayed a return for 3 months), or “we need time to double check the additional withholdings that we took from you to make sure that we don’t give you a cent extra back, ” or education credits, or Identity Theft “precautions.” What a ****ing mess.
Meanwhile, someone I know, that actually committed EIC fraud by claiming his friend’s 2 kids got his return in 9 days. Go figure.
my orange bar is gone completely lol hoping we at least get a DD by WED…fingers crossed… i saw on yahoo answers some people got the message I got then the next day had a DD Lord I hope so

no but I did get an update on WMR today went from the normal wait 21 days to still processing and a refund date will be provided when available… check the mail no new letters or account transcripts… hoping that’s a good sign… what about you any updates?????
Wanted to update y’all so I will repost my situation:

2/6 called and got ddd for 2/8
Called 2/8 cuz no $ and told no date still processing.
Called today, 2/10, was told accepted 1/30 but IRS didn’t input my data to really process til 2/6 so now I am really processing.It’s been a cluster but that is where I am right now. WMR has never updated. Had bar for a couple days then switched to generic 21 day msg. Still there. Had to call 4 times today before I got a rep who would even look up my acct. All the others just spouted 21 day script.
UPDATE: I contacted the Holds department this morning, and I was told that my refund is not on hold, but is in fact under review. Transferred again. They told me that part of my return has now been dated for DD on 2/13, but the rest would come “at a later date.” They said I would receive a letter, but no letter had yet been generated, so there is no code yet.
The nice lady on the phone was pretty helpful and said that a dependent had been “flagged.” Most likely since it was a child born last year, it affects the EIC status, and their system will not even attempt to automatically verify a relationship (my kid is less than 6 months old). Therefore I MAY receive a request for information, which would be birth certs, SSCs, etc. etc….but the bad news? She said that most likely it won’t get looked at for 45-60 days due to the volume. She didn’t say whether or not they were going to do this, but that it’s “up to the reviewer that it’s assigned to, and totally their discretion if they want to pull it or not.”
So essentially, they’re holding the EIC portion of the return, but she did say that my refund from the additional withholdings, would be released. Funny how the state of CA asks no questions about my kid, but the IRS “automatically” flags it. So frustrating.
