I just got off the phone with a person from the IRS (Called and put in Ext. 362). Was on hold for about 20 minutes but got a live person.
She went through everything on my return and my account.. My 2012 return isn’t in the errors department or under review. It is still processing. She stated that they are having a lot of computer problems and it could be right at the full 21 days (which She stated started on 1/30 in my case) or possibly even a slight delay of up to one week after that to get my refund.
She went through my account thoroughly.. No offsets, no issues from prior years tax filings, my 2012 return is pretty basic.
She stated that I was one of the unlucky ones who filed early, began processing on January 30th, did nothing wrong, but are just having to wait longer than many others.
The main thing I took from this call was that we are in a state of limbo, as I’ve read mentioned before. It was good to hear that I wasn’t being reviewed or had made any errors, though it is comical that I may not get my refund until after some who may be in those situations.

No news for me this morning. I really feel like I want to just wait until next week and then start checking my bank account… but honestly, I know I’m not capable of doing that. This is just ridiculous. Seeing all these people who filed a few days ago with a DD. I was even reading somewhere that the IRS claims they process “first in, first out”… which is a crock of sh*t! Wish they’d get their act together. I’m not even getting a really large amount back but I just want to know WHEN!… is that so much to ask?
Thanks Karma! I hope my excel spreadsheet mileage log is good enough for them. I would honestly think they’d have bigger fish to fry. Guess that’s what happens when you file early and they’ve got time on their hands. Good luck with yours this year! I’ll send good thoughts your way!
My sister also had a direct deposit date for today and her money was there this morning.
@Abby did you get a topic 142 or topic 152? I have topic. 152, refund information about direct deposits etc….but that’s been on mine since 2/8 I think. I finally got my orange bar back this morning but no new info just received and processing, 21 days blah bah BLAH! :)
I am not able to order a return transcript just the account which came up blank but has some date of 2/18/13 which is the end of my 21 days.
Both my aunt and cousin where scheduled to receive their refunds on 2/11 and got them on 2/9 instead.
Still processing this morning with the 21 day message. That makes me wonder if those of us that still have the processing message are really “under review” or if we are just stuck in limbo somewhere since some people actually have a review message on WMR! That letter CP05 seems like a generic letter to give them more time to process since it doesn’t have an actual code on it.
That is weird some of us can order transcripts and some can’t……

Uh, wow.
Called the IRS number to get to a live agent, to inquire about the screen change. I just wanted to make sure that it didn’t signify a problem with my return itself. She refused to look up my return at ALL, and told me, and I quote “You don’t need to be goin’ on the Where’s My Refund site when you know you got a education credit.”
Nice.
Incredibly rude the whole time, AND poor grammar. Stellar customer service there, IRS.
Got the same as some of you: Your refund is STILL processing, a date will be provided. Not the best of news, but a change anyways. I think if we were under some kind of hardcore review, it would indicate that. Still can’t order the return transcript, though I’m not sure that really means anything.

so I called and I filed 2/2 but upon talking to a rep it did not start processing til 2/4 and she looked over it and it said they needed a extra week, no reason though nothing she could see….????
I have the same message (bar gone, return still processing, date will be provided when available). Up until yesterday, WMR showed a single orange bar. Looks like a lot of 8863’ers have gotten that screen today, confirmed with a few friends that theirs changed as well.
Will be glad to just see my refund approved at all.
duece and Matthew I’m right there with you guys. I’m hoping too. In fact my husband just left for a month to work in Florida because we are in such limbo. We couldn’t take the chance that we might not have our refund by the end of this month. If I had my refund my husband would still be here. I’m so sick of living paycheck to paycheck but I’m even sicker my husband had to go so far away to find work.
Good news! Woke up this morning and I still have one orange bar but the wording changed and I got that topic 142 message on the bottom. From what I’ve read, if you have that on the bottom, it will soon give you a DDD (no more than 4 days) ALSO! I was able to order BOTH transcripts! I have heard once you order a return transcript, that means your return was approved and it won’t be long for a DDD! Yay! Progress people!!! :) :) :)

that sucks about fees… I know they need to get their money, but some of them seem to take their sweet time. I hope you get it today!!!! This has been a horrible experience!

I think the Fees being taken out is the hold up. Sbtg site updates at 9am so I’ve heard. If Sbtg has it at 9 you should be good to go you can call and ask when will they release to the bank.
can call usaa after 730 – it’s based on your time zone. I’m calling right then if we don’t have anything. I have to go to a class on post and I will be nuts by then if I don’t know anything!
Anyone who has Chase that knows if we can expect a direct deposit the same day of our DDD shown in WMR, the day before, or when?

@swiggins2001 try calling the 800# too. Sometimes that says something different
for some reason I am locked out of wmr still… called the hotline and it is saying the usual, which I don’t know if that matters.
@swiggins2001 It just means that the system was prob overloaded. Mine said that this morning too. It goes back and forth from saying that to telling me still processing.
I don’t think they are open yet. I’m checking my acct like a maniac! lord i cant take this much longer!

This morning WMR results no longer shows bar, shows that by refund is still processing and a refund date will be provided wen available…. I guess Im happy to see something happening…still no DDD!
that’s when it hits our usually I think. I am happy other people got theirs, but it’s making me panic more too. Can’t imagine why we’d not get it-no fees taken out for me. You guys? Used Turbo tax.
I’ve been following along, but just now registered.
I filed early with TaxAct (on January 18th). Self-employed, EIC, two dependents, American Opportunity Credit (same as last year). Got notice of acceptance on January 25th. From the day WMR opened, until yesterday, I had one orange bar.
This morning, it changed to:
Your tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available.Looking around on here, I see that a lot of 8863’ers are getting this message, which calms me down a little, as a Ctrl+F search on the main page brought up a comment from someone that this message meant a 6-8 week delay. Really hoping that’s not the case. I need my refund yesterday!

I bank with usaa as well. My DDD is 2/13 but haven’t seen anything hit my account. I did get my Colorado return around 6am. I live in England now so maybe it will come later in the day US time.
I filed my mom’s taxes on 2/4 and they were accepted the same day. This morning WMR says that she is STILL processing and will receive a date when available. Grrrrr. I filed mine before hers and I am just processing with a 21 days message.

As of last night about 10:30 I was able to order transcripts. I couldn’t do it 5 hours prior. (2/11)
I thought that I would have an update this morning but NO! IT stills ays that it’s being processed. I’m getting nervous.
duece1911, hopefully there is something positive to that, I truly mean that.
Accepted around the same time and have received the same 21-day message over and over and over…. I also cannot order a Transcript and have no Offsets per the automated numbers for those.

My status finally changed to something different… WRM can’t find me … guess locked out even though I have not been in the system this morning.. and my status on hotline changed from the 21 days jargon to Your return is being processed and I will have a date when it is available. Hope this is progress as I have gotten the same 21 day jargon ever since I was accepted back on the 25th.

Here is the deal .. Filed 1/30 accepted 1/30 been in processing hell ever since still as of today nothing just the standard 21 day message ..IRS2GO has nothing on me (WTF) phone system says same bullshit as WMR . What I want to know is has anyone got updates since Saturday ? It doesn’t seem like it .. I just hear about everyone with DDD already wondering if they will get their refund early … At this point I would just be happy with a DDD . I have been filing the same way for the last 5 years ..no offsets or anything .. For the love of GOD can we please get some answers ?? Still can order either transcript either …

Been waiting on DD ever since!Like most here, I simply get a “being processed, will give a date”. So far, no date on the horizon. I ordered a transcript to be sent to my home but that was just last night(didnt know anything about that until talking to the people over on Chatzy).
Just wish it would come on. This is a bad year for filing early! Hope everyone gets theirs soon!

Wow did i just learn a lot..
Every year i claim my girlfrien as a dependant..never a problem..
i messed up this year kinda..she worked 1500$..so thats why I have the child tax credit for in my return..that sucks..so sure this is my problem..

i did my same return under another name-strickly for numbber purposes-my refund would hsave been excatly the same without my girlfriend as my dependant, and i would have had my money a week ago.
I work at tacobell as the manager, dont make much, hard as hell with twins and a 6 year old. kinda need that 8kYes a lot of the 8863ers got that message
Weird No orange bar on WMR even at the first bar.. it now says:

Dude thats wierd when you look at it..
I have same everything from last yearas this year on my taxes..Last year i didn’t have the 8812 form because i guess i don’t quifily for child tax credits..
this year i have the form in my return, but its not filled out, only the bottom which is the addiotional tax credits..here’s a thought..last year i had a seperate form for additional child tax credits..this year its one for and the questions for the top portion are not being answered..
Bingo either way necause my return dosn’t look right, soo now i’m a little excited to have a reason,:), here’s to hoping
