Update! Filed 2/7,accepted 2/7. Had 21 day message with topic 152 forever. Checked WMR yesterday and it couldnt find me. Back to one bar this morning with the same 21 day message but was FINALLY able to order both transcripts….so I am hoping for a DD soon…..anyone know if this is good news?
Update! No money yet but finally got a DD of 2/20! I filed /accepted 1/30 and was in processing for about a week and a half. Was able to order return transcript around 2:45 yesterday AM. Now just have to wait and see if funds show up. So hoping they come early like maybe tomorrow so I can shop this weekend. I will keep you updated
I was just able to order an account transcript for the 1st time this morning. I was not able to all day yesterday. WMR is down but hopefully there will be a positive update when it comes back up.
I’ll wait with you guys. I filed and was accepted on 2/2. I was able to order transcripts tho I am not sure of the date that I did. I’m stuck in processing. I’ve heard nothing as to the status of my refund.
I filed online with TaxSlayer early morning 2/11 and was accepted minutes later. I just wanted to go ahead and start a post for any others who were accepted on this date. I’ve only been processing for 5 days, but I’m hoping to find out if anyone has received any DDD who filed on this date or later? So please update on this post if and when any new information is given.

Additional Information: TAX TOPIC 152 ( Unsure if this has any real meaning or is a generic message, at first I did not have this message, but it popped up on the 13th and has stayed ever since).I will update daily with any information. Thanks in advance for doing the same!

Ok so the details are as follows…
Efiled HRB on 02/02/13 accepted a few hours later. WMR shows generic 21 day messege and topic 152. Called on 02/13 and rep said the address was incorrect (they had an address from 2010 returns) once that address was provided to her all she said was in error dept and would be getting a letter. There was never a message on WMR to call or code given. Still has one orange bar and processing. Haven’t been able to order transcript with old or new mailing address until a few minutes ago. It allowed me to with current address. So I have to assume something was processed in the last few days. Filed HH, EIC and Child Tax Credit with simple 1040. I assume the “error” was corrected and should be seeing a DDD soon? Never got a letter or anything else stating the was an issue. Anyone have insight? Also, I ordered Return transcript but I assumed you could see it? Is that not the case, they just mail it to you? Thank you in advance!

Movement! It still says 21 day message, but i was just now able to order my return transcript! New address this year so we are finally back in the system!
It was a CP05 and it said by April 11th… WMR and the hotline still say processing and I called the IRS twice today, the first time I asked about the letter and the rep said it could still come within the 21 days, the second time I called I just played stupid and said nothing about the letter- I asked if I had any offsets or any other issues and the lady looked up my return and said that its still processing with no offsets and said NOTHING about the review… I notice a lot of people that had a message on WMR about the review and letter but mine hasnt changed (except for it went from having the orange bar saying “PROCESSING”) to no orange bar saing ” Your refund is still being processed and a dd will be given when available”.
Ha. Timely. Not for us 8863’ers. Guess we’re that 1 out of 10. Easy to tell people not to check on their refunds… don’t know about others, but I really, really need mine. Like last week.
I was FINALLY just able to order both transcripts!!!!! I think we are moving in the right direction!!! I am so happy about this…now just need a DDD

good news was able to order my account transcripts! another step closer to a ddd! did any one get any news…
Filed & Accepted on 2-5, processing until 2-14 when WMR changed to processing will recieve a date when available, a few mins ago was able to order account transcript but not the return, hopefully this means a DDD soon, any similar situations out there??

WMR and hotline unable to find me, no orange bars, can’t order transcripts, no info what so ever.
My bank contacted me and said the Fed. Dept of Treasury posted to my account today and the money will clear on Tuesday!!!My review letter states that I dont have to give any info at this time… Wtf is the point, kind of seems like the feds are looking for any excuse to lag on giving us our money… Has anybody recieved this letter this year and got thier refund back OR do you know of anybody that has??? I planned a vacation with my kids and got vacation time from work revolved around taxes and this is screwing it all ip
bigtimeny1 i know i have 3 kids. how messed up that we have to prove we lived with our own children during the year>? seriously?
My daughter is 3, this is the first year Ive claimed her because she lived with her mother the previous 2 years, how the hell would I show proof that she lived with me, there are no doctor bills no school records no anything wtf?

I missed my Advocate’s call today but I haven’t sent her anything yet it was the first contact attempt…I was able to get her fax number when I tried to call her back so tomorrow morning I am faxing her everything you said you had to fax to yours…to get the ball rolling. Thanks again. In the back of my mind I’m hoping we really don’t need any of this crap and I get a ddd tomorrow. I know I’m crazy…..hahahaha

The only reason I know I’m being reviewed is because I called a billion and two times.NEW INFO I called back and know I have to send proof that my kids live with me and I pay bill at my place.I am the only one to ever claim my kids one is 4 the other is 7 never had a problem before.They said I was ramdomly pick WHAT LUCK

I had 1 W-2 and the same 2 dependants Ive always had… I got a letyer today sayong I was under review and called, they said ot was to compare everything and that I dont have any offsets… I dont know wth is going on bit I say we hold the governments money from hitting thier bank accts until our money hots ours
Ok here’s my processing review story from hell…. Filed 1/17, accepted early on 1/24…. Started checking wmr on 1/30 said processing, allow 21 days. Starting 2/5 when I saw other people getting there deposits that filed after me I started calling IRS. Spoke with a different rep each day for 4 days, all looked up my acct and told me everything was fine and I was just processing… On 2/9 I called the tax advocate line and was told the same b.s. about processing and allow 21 days.. On the 10th I recieved a letter in the mail dated 2/1 stating I was under review and to wait 60 days and they will send me another letter if they need any additional info… So meanwhile I talked to 4 different reps and told everything was fine and i was just processing but in all reality I was already under review with a letter in the mail … So I am behind on my rent this month from losing my job and called the tax advocate line. They filed a case for me and assigned a tax advocate for me on Tuesday and told me that by Thursday I would recieve a call from my tax advocate. The next day I recieved a call from the rep , which was yesterday, and she informed me that in order to try to hurry any process along, she needed me to fax her my proof of hardship, my w2s and last three pays tubs for each w2. I faxed her everything today and she called me an hour later to confirm receiving it and told me she will have the proof submitted to IRS and find out what else they need but even with a tax advocate, the IRS still has up to 3 weeks to complete your case. So at least there is a little relief knowing that it can only be anther 3 weeks… As far as wmr, since 1/30 wmr, hotline and app have all shown processing with 21 days message. On 2/12 I was able to order both transcripts and status changed to still processing, date will be given when available…. But I know I’m still in review. So just to share some knowledge about my experience
@ thisizridiculous on 1/30 , you should have received an email from turbotax saying you can now track your refund with a link. Click on that link and enter your info. That is if you filed early. Otherwise not sure
Still nothing here either. Still hoping and wishing but nothing. Very disheartening!
Where do you even look at your status on Turbotax? Someone told me the other day but I couldn’t find it on mine.

The IRS alerted taxpayers and the tax community it is experiencing high traffic on “Where’s My Refund?” as more tax returns come in. The heavy volume of refund inquiries means that the IRS anticipates both “Where’s My Refund?” on IRS.gov and the refund feature on the IRS2go phone app will have limited availability during busier periods.
Due to the large number of inquiries and to avoid service disruptions, the IRS strongly urges taxpayers to only check on their refunds once a day. IRS systems are only updated once a day, usually overnight, and the same information is available whether on the Internet, IRS2go smartphone app or on IRS toll-free lines. While “Where’s My Refund?” is updated nightly, your account will not change that frequently.
The IRS is seeing a good start to the filing season, and tax refunds are being issued timely. Nine out of 10 taxpayers typically receive refunds in less than 21 days when they use e-file with direct deposit.
The IRS expects to see the number of tax returns — and related refund inquiries — steadily increase around the President’s Day holiday week.
Here are some tips to help taxpayers with their refund questions:
Have the right tax information ready before using any of the IRS refund tools. This includes Social Security number, filing status and refund amount.

Okay so just to update my info.. Filed 2/17 accepted 2/25 I was getting the 21 day message on WMR then on the 2nd it changed to Take Action your return is under review. IRS2go gives no reference code but same message. I received a partial refund ( for the federal portion of return) on Feb 5 just before 3 p.m. CST. I got an E-mail from Turbo Tax AFTER I received those funds telling me they will be available 2 days later. So far no letter in the mail and updates. Now obviously the IRS and the companies we filed through aren’t on the same page BUT anyone who used Turbo Tax is your status showing that you will receive your refund by 2/18?
My bar never disappeared nor did the message ever change prior to the ddd. It went straight from the original 1 bar and processing 21 day message to a ddd. I’m just trying not to get my hopes up or anything because until my refund is in my account I’m not going to count on anything.
So like a lot of people have suggested or straight out said I too wonder if the people answering our calls at the good ol IRS are not tellin us stuff just to get off the phone or reading off a script.
Oh and also on 2/13 when I got the ddd I first checked the irs2go app on my phone & it showed but when I checked wmr right after it showed still processing and didn’t change until later in the day but the app and hotline said the ddd.I understand they have A LOT on their plate this time of year, but give us working tools to access info or customer service reps who actually want to do their job and things could possibly be a little less stressful. I just want to find out what is going…like if you need more info from me or whatever. I’ve never had this kind of delay in prior years…
@kg thanks for sharing that sounds mighty similar to what’s going on with me. Was told I was under a review, on 02/11 my MWR status changed from 21 days to your refund is STILL being processed on 02/12 I was able to order return transcripts now I’m hoping I will get DDD soon. I called again today and spoke to every department imaginable and was told my return is indeed processed so now it’s a major waiting game thanks for giving us “under review” some hope :)

I filed on 2/4 and was accepted on 2/7 per IRS rep. As you all know the WMR site is not worth a s#$*& or worse. I searched the internet to find a 2013 IRS refund schedule chart and found one issued 2013. It says to be accurate for 90% of taxpayers.
File accepted feb 2, through Feb 8,2013.. DD feb 15 2013 …. paper check Feb 18,2013
I hope it right and we will get ours this week end or early next week.:)

KG00861, That’s exactly what happened to me. Identical, except I still can’t get a return transcript, and I have no DDD.

Well I don’t know if this is much help or not but I will share my story. I filed on 1/29/13 and got an email saying I was accepted on 1/31/13. Wmr stayed on first bar and that I was still processing 21 days thing. I requested transcripts on 2/5 (trying to take out a loan but needed as much income info as possible due to self employment) & was only able to get account transcript. I claimed hoh, 1 reg w2, schedule c (no self employment deductions just the income),& 2 kids (my 9 year old & new baby).
I called 2 different times and was told everything was fine just still processing and that nobody is able to order transcripts of any kind for 2012 because they are not ready (I knew better than that because my boyfriend ordered both his 2/5 and got a ddd on 2/6 for 2/8). On Monday 2/11 I our thranscripts came in his were 2012 so the IRS is just saying the transcripts are not available but my acct transcripts said there was not a 2012 tax return filed. So I freaked and called irs again but called the number on the transcript for if there were any questions. The lady I spoke with said my return was there and the same spill about transcripts being unavailable but proceeded to tell me that my return was being delayed by 1 extra week. I asked why and she said because of the high volume of returns and that I was put into review but if they needed anything they would let me know just to keep checking and could take 4 weeks.
Just out of hopes I tried for the return transcript again and nothing but tried again later that night around 10 cst and was able to order it. Yesterday 2/13 I did get a ddd for 2/15 so I am in hopes it will be in my bank tomorrow but still trying to figure out why the last lady told me I was in review.
I just thought I would share my story in case anyone else has a similar situation maybe it could help.just checked, i got my bar back lol but still processing…no change in the message. i guess i should just be grateful i have no error/irs ref code, right? bleh.

@whitneyf 1242 is a “reserved” delay code. The IRS does not publicize the reason behind it. There are many possible reasons but the EIC seems to be a very common area. If you’ve claimed the EIC and there is anything questionable about the claim your refund will be delayed while the IRS investigates it.
that’s what i got from googlingUpdate: 2/14 no other letter from the IRS as of today WMR still says your refund is still being processed a due date when available..

Went from the orange bar 1/30-2/7 to the “your return is still being processed” message. Just went back to orange bar this morning.I just want a direct deposit date!!!

My return just went from that message (which was like that since the 7th) back to the bar this morning. No 8863, no EIC, just child tax credit and the W2s for me and my husband. We were accepted on the 26th, and still waiting on even a ddd or refund approved!

Although I know several of us never had a bar to start with so it’s no help LOL
I wonder if there is anyone that filed before that got theirs and have a date in that box. We could probably call and ask what it means.

Accepted the 30th, 15th day and waiting. Still processing. By the time I get this refund I may be on the street. Every bill I owe is do. 5 months of unemployment without income will do that to a person. The IRS is skeevy as usual this year, even more so.
I find it interesting that there aren’t any “reviews” when the money is taken from my paycheck every two weeks, but suddenly a “review” is must to return it.

Accepted 31st, nothing yet. Talked to a person in the holds dept on Tuesday and was told it is processed but is not updated in all their systems yet. He couldn’t give me a date but said it should only be a few days, should be by the end of the week. I sure hope he is right, we need this money so bad. We have bills to pay and need diapers and clothes for my kids :(

Absolutely no information available on hotline or WMR :(I don’t have an Offset….however if you do they take that out of your taxes.
Still the same 21 day message! Still no transcripts. Day 15 & counting :/
I am in the same hold myself….file with TT on 2/7 and was told i was not accepted until 2/9 even though TT sent me and email stating I was within hours…..Call IRS today verified my offset information to them and the lady put it in my files telling me I will receive a letter. The joke of the day is when she ask me how was I planning on paying them….I told her when she pays me first you can ask that question again
