Mail just came. There was a letter from the IRS it is a CP05 dated Feb 25.
Says “Our review will be completed by April 11, 2013.
Does everyone else have that date also?I got mine on the 13 as planned at around 2 AM
Hey Amanda! I saw some posters tried to school u about our govt and tax credits. I understood what u were saying. I think people take their subjective viewpoint about govt and tax law and added to their frustration about late ddd get a little overheated. I mean IW think I only read one of the responses to u that had even close to correct grammar ;). 45 days from the date of the letter or 45 days from when they received the tax return? no one can give us a straight answer about that.

its dated for the 25th of feburary..Icalled, finally talked to someone about it…she said what don’t u understand do u need me to go over the letter..what a itch…
anyways i have to wait 45 days for eitheranother letter or anytime from here to april i could getmyreturn, Please tell me someone with this letter is getting through to these jokers..’

I still have no dd date but, for the first time in history I received my Illinois refund first. Thank god we got something.
TT filed me early also. I think this whole thing is ridiculus. I understand the IRS trying to catch fraud but now that they know its become a gigantic problem to law-abiding citizens they should just release all the holds on early filers.

@bostonkid… Yes, of course 2/2 as well! Didn’t meant to leave y’all out. I think since us January filers are starting to make progress y’all should see progress soon too. They are supposed to process first in, first out… However, I know that doesn’t seem to have been the case… Hopefully they are doing that now.
I am out of the norm, I ordered transcripts on 2/8 and I am still in waiting. The transcript does have a processing date of 2/25 whatever that means.
I am in the group in facebook and everyone there is great. My transcript says processing 2/25 but they told me that they have to do something before 2/18. I am not sure that I believe what the IRS says but it cant hurt to hope. We are 2 weeks into our 11 week (hopfully less) wait. I wonder what if going to happen this year. Keep us posted if you hear anything or get a DD.
it looks like everyone else is doing better than i am lol. my wmr/hotline is still the same…still processing message w/the 1st bar filled. i guess i still should be grateful that i have no error/irs ref code on there, but i rather have one so i can google and see exactly what’s going on to make the process faster by sending in docs they need from me *sigh*. i still can’t order a return transcript. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! this is ridiculous!
Tell them u have a take action notice and want to know what’s that about they will open your return then I bet
I really don’t think there is aletter…we got flagged for filing early–even though itwas my tax softwares fault for sending it in early..
freetaxusa told us we could file the 17th and they will hold iot till the 30th..they couldn’t wait and sent them in as soon as they could..too many early filiers…if we would have all waited ti feb 1 or 2nd we would have had cash in 1 week..over a week ago
Ok so i made a final call, one last try…i just asked to find out about my 2012 return..
she said u have to wait 21 days from when u filed…she asked when that was
she was shocked when i told her the 25th…21 days today..she quickly changed to astory saying the irs site is down and they can’t look anything up until 21 days from the 30th…she pauses and comes back to tell me thats wednesday..
I told her i just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong..she said she understood, but she could only see what date it was accepted and thats it..
the first call i madeshe gave me a little more info..this lady never took my information..
30 mins wasted again..thatslike a total of 4 hours +..
I give up..i am letting go until wednesday..this hoping shit ain’t helping

Styx, I was just able to order a transcript. Accepted on 1/27 and Processing ever since.
I called previously and was told I wasn’t under review and they saw no problems.. Just unlucky in the Processing Lottery, so to speak.

That is the only thing I havn’t been able to really figure out. I’ve been told by three deparments I’m under review but I havn’t recieved a letter, codes or anything. I have seen people on here that filed way after me and all ready recieved their letters. I don’t know what to think

Well i’m not ready to base me being in review strickly on thoses phone operators..Nothing in any status does it say i’m in review..no letter, nothing only them telling me there is a hold but their not sure why
WTF..ok so i just called the phone # for transcripts..it let me order both..I wonder if it rejects people’s request, or did i really just order my transcripts again..
I honestly don’t think the 21 mark will help us, though I hope I’m wrong. I think now that we’re under review they can pretty much keep us in the dark for a few months. I’ve been told 30, 45, and 60 days.

I have always thought i was a little differnt bbecausse i could order my transcripts on the 4th..
well today is day 11 and still havn’t got them in the mail..so i called- strickly based on that ?..She was a bit*H, told me i never past the test to get transcripts and that i could not order them then or now because i’m still processing..

accepted 26th..started to worry 4th..ordered transcripts-ok..
5th i called..told me i was all done but for some reason my return was being held..’
6th-12..called afeew times got a whole lot of differnt answers..
ID theft, missing a Tax form in my return, to my dependants might be a red flag ( same this is year 4, excact same)..12th, WMR changed to STILL processing, refund when avaiable..sounded good…still nothing..
Tomorrow is my 21 day mark..I really want to call again but i know they wont e able tohelp me..7800 return,3 dependants, 1 w-2…
So hopefully us 02/02’ers are coming up soon as well. Tired of waiting for any progress.
I was just able to order transcripts both something I haven’t been able to do since I started this bull shit process hopes this means something and yes Iam under review tried ordering yesterday and got no luck I really want everyone here to rely on the word of God if he brought u to this mess he’s going to also bring you through it .

I have tried to order transcripts but can’t. I think its due to my address being different now.I found a great group on facebook just for injured spouse filers.you both should check it out.its nice to follow other people in the same situation and I can’t wait to see one of them get there refund so I will have hope of the irs moving things quickly
So nobody on here who filed 8863 has seen a change yet? I know mine was one of the first to be accepted. I used turbo tax. Im really hoping to see it before wednesday. I cant order transcripts yet. if someone told me i could have 2800 now instead of the 4000 later id take it. I havent bought anything new / expensive since xmas.

The only thing slightly the norm is that we are in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy (family will screw you over every time!) but have been in that for over 3 years, and the trustee advised us that we will always get our refund since we didn’t owe the IRS or governmental agencies, and we can afford the monthly payment directly debited from our paychecks.We were accepted through TT on the 26th around 4:30pm or so. Went through the “your return is still being processed, refund information will be updated when available” message from 2/6 through 2/13, then started showing the orange bar again saying processing. I can’t order transcripts either.

My WMR has changed for the first time since the 31st to the A refund date will be provided when available message. So if it can change to that why would it not updat to inform all of us that we are under review. To be honest I am happy to see any type of change at this point.
I was able to order mines also today 2/15 Im hoping this is progress to a DDD! I filed 2/8 accepted 10 mins later. WMR says still processing tax topic 152. From what im seeing @aimjay people are getting DDD’s 24-48Hrs after requesting their transcripts.
Don25, I have never had this kind of stress at tax season. I usually receive my state a week after filing and my federal two weeks after filing. Didn’t happen like that at all this year!!!
Ok, FINALLY I was able to order transcripts today 2/15(Happy dancing all over the house…thank goodness you guys don’t see that…LOL). Of those who were able to order their transcripts, how long did it take for your status bar to change to a DDD? and how many days was it till the DDD? Just out of curiosity, I’d like to see the average for most people…Thanks in advance
Ugh I’m sooo frusterated at this point. I still have the same one bar and 21 day message, nothing has changed. I filed 1/30 and am not sure if I have even been accepted as HRB immediately sent an email after my IRS acceptance email stating any IRS acceptance of an 8863’er was sent an error. I sure wish they would hurry up and start processing. I had to take a car title loan out to get through this month and have to pay it back by March 1st. I’m not looking for a spending spree, just need this money to get by…this is so ridiculous! :/

Called IRS, 1st time…”no problems, its still just processing”
Called IRS, 2nd time, actually got someone to look up my info “You have been selected for review”
Called Holds Department….”We see no holds or anything on your refund, its just processing”
Called Examination Department….”We see it is under review but we have no idea why and it shows nothing that indicates it will come to our department. They might just look at it and see that you filed the same way for 6 years and just release it”
Called Tax Advocate….”Yes, we see its under review..we’ll start a case for you” Waiting to hear backSo thats my story. 1 dependent, filed the same way for 6 years, no letter, no codes, all the sites have not changed once this entire time
Able to order a transcript this morning after getting the under review letter last week. Still processing at 1 bar which has not changed since 1/31 (received 1/30)
i need mine to get car insurance so the same screwy government doesnt try to screw my license. Need to move out of my present abusive situation too. People’s lives are dependent on this sh%t, and they just casually hang up on us and lie to us, like everything is all good. Why do they THINK we file early? ITS CUZ WE NEED IT!!!!!

They said that they would START processing those returns on the 14th, not that they would do them all on the 14th.
I got the dreaded under review letter (4464C) but WMR still gives me the 1 bar and still processing, 21 day msg (that’s never changed)

Ugh! Ordered my transcripts Wednesday around 12:20am still no DDD and spoke to every department imaginable yesterday who all confirmed my refund was finished processing and is now waiting on a date…trying to stay positive but this process makes it so hard and I still have the “you will receive refund when available” message with tax topic 152

I think the IRS lied. They said they would process education credit returns the 14th. I’m getting a 4000 refund and I’ve been counting on this money to go on a huge spending spree. Well I used wmr this morning and no update . I filed early too. Accepted on the 24th. Still says your return is still being processed. I’ve been waiting too long already does anyone have any info that might give me a good outlook

Have you tried calling the transcript phone number? I know on the online transcript I kept getting that information but when I took out the “.” and “,” in the address I was typing it worked. The transcript phone number only ask for the number for the street address.

I do believe your theory personally that they are holding larger refunds in some cases for the maximum 21 days. My refund is over $8k same as last year (which I received in about 10-14 days in 2012). I was accepted on 25th but IRS says accepted on 1/28 and my status just changed to “Processing date will be given when available” for the first time this week I believe on Monday morning. I finally was able to order a return transcript this morning where I was not able to last night. I have talked to examinations department as recently as yesterday, hold department, have a tax advocate and no one sees my letter 4464c in the system or says I am in review. The letter is dated 2/1 and I don’t mention it in the beginning. I have had times when I asked them to go over my account.. no debt indicators, no flags, no holds, just processing. I then ask why letter 4464c then I get put on hold and some have asked me as of yesterday in examination department to read the letter to them which I find funny since it is their letter.

Called IRS three times was told everything look fine just processing /: finally was told I had a hold/freeze on refund (approved and processed) Wasn’t told why just to expect a 4464c letter! That was 2/13! I have been pissed because we file the same way every year except this year my husband made less money due to work being slow and missing a whole month while I was in the hospital to have our little girl (sever preeclampsia)! Well by him not working as much and with 3 dependents we were getting our largest refund EVER 9k+,,,,, BUT AS OF TODAY Where’s My Refund (WMR) has changes its message first time since 1/31! Processing date will be given when avalible!!!!! Please please please some one tell me does this mean they are going to real ease the money soon????? Examinations department couldn’t find any hard/master codes to tell us why it was frozen.. (I believe it had to do with us filing early and identity theft,, wanted us to wait 21 days just to make sure no one try’s to use same SS#)Have you been able to order return transcript yet @BOSTONKID29?

I have been lurking this site all week & was surprised to find so many in the same boat as myself! Ugh!! Here goes:

I received email from TT that my return was accepted, so I went back to WMR and the orange bar was on approved!!! I said to myself, “Dang, they are moving fast as h3ll this year. I might have a DD in the morning.”!! It stayed that way until the following day sometime, but that night it was back to the first bar…accepted. I checked the mail on the 6th & there was the IRS letter dated 2/4/13. My WMR has stayed the same besides the times I get locked out & nothing populates for me. Has ANYONE who received LTR 4464 code 0 actually gotten a DD and/or ur money yet? :-(
Update!!! Filed 2/6 have been processing ever since with topic 152 message. Was finally able to order both my account and return transcripts this morning SO I am hoping for a DDD very very soon!!! :)
