@ white wolf you are welcome, I love IGMR it helps to let us know we are not alone in this. But when I say some of them IRS CSR (Customer Service lacking individuals) were mean spirited. I know they hire and ramp up people for the season who are not seasoned, but to be mean spirited and nasty. I was hung up on twice, and even after I got the GOLDEN Ticket letter one lady would not look up my account and said do what it says call back in nine weeks. and hung up…

My transcripts have been n/a and still are right now. I just checked again for the millionth time…
I filed MFJ with my husband… told him no update for us and he checked his and it has our joint info on the transcript with a correct return info dd amount, and a ddd 2/28…
Why are mine n/a? It’s never done this in prior years. They’ve always been the same. I’ve never seen or heard of MFJ people having different transcripts.Travishon you got 971 first then 570 then another 971? wondering (more like hoping) if this will be the case for those of us who just got 570 then 971 🤞🏼

From what I heard was it means the issue has been resolved and you should update.I was expecting to see an update to my transcripts today and nothing and i haven’t seen any updates since path lifted. I called IRS and the rep told me it hasn’t lifted and pathers should expect a refund in March. Am i crazy or was he full of it!!! Also i have never had to wait until March. I see a lot of people seeing movement.

What if I have code 570, then 971 with the same dates?
Finally after back and forth got a real answer. My refund was released for direct deposit on 2/20 but hasn’t been processed(sent to bank yet) so no date. Told soon to see a date
Also if you don’t want to wait for a letter message then and say you are having trouble with your mail can we verify another way. They ask you to upload 3 ids and that’s it
@chelsea i have a feeling the updates that people saw today were the last ones of the week. the only thing that updates on saturday is usually WMR but you never know so i would check tomorrow. if not then hopefully you are in the batch for tuesday/wednesday or thursday/friday next week
What does it mean when wmr says “We have received your tax return and it is being reviewed.” With bars but no other information or codes
Part 2: Meaning they dnt have to do anything to my return until then, AND it could take up to 45 days from that date, for them to finish the process…What the entire F!!! I’m so pissed because everything is correct and I dnt know if that’s just what she is saying because she doesn’t know but I give up for now. I’ll come back if I ever get a real update…good luck to all the waiting people and congrats to the lucky ones who are moving forward…
@Kaitlyn Martin. Could you let us know please the outcome…if you successfully verified, or they didn’t put it through? I have called too many times since my verify msg on 1/27. No letters. They will NOT let me verify over the phone. Nearest place is 102 miles. Good luck.
Pretty mad myself. My refund: Filed 1/28 accepted 1/29 on wmr. Then needed to verify. IDme w/video that was verified 2/3. Weekly, so following Sat woke up to ‘processing’. Yeah! Oops, nope. Following Wed (iirc) went back to verify where it has sat in limbo since. Transcripts are top two NA & bottom two blank w/as of 2/19. Requested letter TWICE! Nothing, nada, zip, zilch. No irs near me to verify in person and can’t get anyone to pick-up at nearest 90 miles away office?

and looking back I realized I put a new checking account # for one of my accounts. Not sure if this flagged it or not. No updates today, notification on irs account is gone, verification on WMR ID Message is still there. I am a weekly. They told me 9 weeks. I did call back and speak to Mr. Simon who said that the verification did go through with that rep. Ms. Sheffield.
Cont again.. lol So I called, rep who finally took time to speak with me said I was not in fact verified and that she could do it over the phone. We did, it took about 45 mins, she asked about last years return and this year and at the end of the call said that I was not getting direct deposit but a check.
Just spoke to a live rep. Under review for income, withholding or tax credits. Basically wait for the letter as they don’t have the specifics. It says notice issued but no notice in my online account. @travishon you were right. Call was basically a waste of time. I do have a W-2 and a 1099-R, plus added one of my children for CTC and EITC as their father passed and he usually claims one of them. I’m thinking that might be the issue or I’ve seen a lot of people with 1099’s being reviewed.
Cont- It took 3 minutes to verify, they asked for Agi from 2023, whether or not you requested a check or direct deposit and last four of your banking info. Then it took me to a page that said congratulations you are verified. I didnt trust it, because I had my direct deposit split into two bank accounts, and there was no place to list two.
@tgs2024 good theory. i’ve had a similar amount owed to me in the past though and had no hold up. but, you know, different year different rules haha
So the letter is real. I got mine on Tuesday 02/20. It has a 14 digit control # you put in when you get to that identify verify page on your IRS account. I was an early filer, Filled 01/17 accepted the 18. Message of verify identity popped up on WMR first week of February.
Woke up this morning with no update to transcripts (570 two weeks ago, 971 last week), still no letter from the IRS from what I can see in Informed Delivery and no notice online either. Becoming more and more frustrated. I’m holding on to a sliver of hope by reading what some of you have said about it eventually fixing itself.

I believe you are right. If I had to guess I would say one other thing we all probably have in common t is a fairly decent amount that is owed to us on our return. I could be wrong but that is just my theory as well.Same as me, I updated last night with an “as of “ date of 3/11 but my TT still says 2/29

@Jimmie G Do not worry. Once you get your 846, it’s a done deal. My WMR never updates until after cash in hand the last few years. One year it never moved past accepted.
I also called and spoke with someone. Spent almost an hour on on the phone. She kept putting me on a 5-7 minute hold because she couldn’t find a reason for the delay or the 971 code. She said she didn’t see any notice. Then proceeded to tell me AFTER the 8th hold, that the IRS randomly selects returns to verify all information is reported correctly. That 3/4/24 is the date they have to process my return.
Patience folks! Calling is a waste of time and ignore those who recommend it! Front line IRS Al folks that got fired from DoorDash! As of date is nothing more than a marker. Ignore it! Patience patience patience is the only way! @julie transcripts have cycle code. 04 ending is daily 05 like I have is weekly updates on Thursday/Friday overnight!

They told me the same thing yesterday when I called. I think they’re so backed up that they’re processing much slower than usual. That’s just my theory.To my understanding the As of Date is just the date that the irs has to have your refund completed. Like a deadline or due date.
But how can it be an advanced date of “as of”. I updated today only in the account transcript 2023. I only have 2023 in wages and act transcript. The only thing that appeared was as of date 3/11/24. I filed 2/17 and accepted 2/19. That’s 21 days give or take a Sunday. Last year I was accepted 2/20 and had an as of date of 3/13. I firmly believe it’s their own way of saying we have to pay you before that “as of date”. 21 days.
Do updates happen all day today for weekly? I’m 20240405 and still no update on transcripts.
it’s weird I’m usually 03 or 04, but this year I was switched to 05. So happy to finally have a date. Stuck on “still being processed” for a week, but kept tax topic 152, never a notification to verify. I’ve seen somebody have that same message on where’s my refund, but they’re tax topic disappeared. Not sure if that matters at all?

Received 971 today. Called IRS, they said I was one of the ones flagged for verification. They told my to check my taxes and if everything is correct to leave them as they are and if I need to change something file an amended. That it can take up to 120 days to resolve. Taxes done by HRB called them & verified all info is correct… I feel like it is just a way to help off set the backlog on ITS part.Updated this morning to 971 date of 3/11 with $0.00. Now my as of date changed to 3/11 but my processing date still shows 3/4. How do I figure out how often I update? I’ve seen people say they cycle daily and some weekly. WMR still shows delayed.
If you got a transcript change today then wmr should update tomorrow. It’s usually a day later. I still have yet to see any changes since I filed. But good luck to those of you who have!
Just called IRS he said there an “action” on my acct that had already been resolved a few days ago and to continue to check WMR and transcripts should update within a few weeks. My acct did not need to verify he said So just the generic answers as usual and keeping checking. Ugggg
@jay-b Nothing yet. However, when I talked to the agent, she did say that there was a delay. There are no updates on my transcript. It still says N/A and the WMR still says “still processing”. I have seen in the past, where are updates on Sat. and Sunday. I hope everyone get there’s. I will update once mines change.
