I filed on 1//27 and was received on 1/28. WMR still says that it is processing and that I should see it within 21 days.
accepted on the 27th and still have 21 days in process message. i hope it changes tomorrow morning when i check. I would assume it will and should get a 2/4 or 2/6 date.
Filed 26th accepted 27th Wmr updated this AM CD 2/4. Now Im worried the Netspend card won’t come before the deposit! Never expected that to be a problem!!! Turbo Tax
I filed 1/26 with TT online was accepted 1/28 I checked the wmr and hotline this morning 1/31 still processing and it also say within 21 days.I have noticed not many 1/28ers so I am glad I am not alone.
WMR has a DD for 4 February. Anyone else? Nothing showing with USAA but they don’t usually show any DD until 7 am of the day of deposit.
I think this is a bunch of total bull.Why would it take them 2more weeks to fix this problem?Personally I think it’s all a excuse to bigger refunds back and push all of the quicker easier refunds through first that are also smaller in check size like my 2 sons 1040ez’s for example so they can get more interest on the money they do have in the bank.Makes no sence it would take so long.There going to have to shut this system down to fix it you would think???
Got a confirmation that my refund was accepted by IRS 1/30. Where’s my refund stats read: your federal return was accepted expect a refund within 21 days. Came back next day status reads -we are still processing your return. Then it gives me some reading literature on tax topic. I did not receive the newly implemented tax status bar either the second time.
Submitted 1/26. Accepted 1/27. Notified 1/28. 1/30 WMR stated received and processing. 1/31 WMR states refund approved scheduled for DD 2/4!
i filed on 1/28th around midnight and was accepted the same day at 11am. on both wmr & hotline says that my return has been received and it is being processed. it also tells me that i will receive my refund within 21 days.
I too was a 23rd acc.Still processing as of today 31st only had EIC no forms
I got rejected on 1/29 just for my sons birth yr messed up but I got accepted 1/30 and Turbo tax gave me estimate date of return 2/20 but it says I could get it anytime from the 10th till the 20th (again that is turbo tax saying that)I’m hoping ASAP lol but hope this helps u guys
I was accepted 1/23 I filed the 7th on Taxact I have found no info on a dd has anyone got any info at all?

I know this may be jumping the gun as we were just accepted today. I have filed through H&R Block and do not have a DD as of yet.
I was accepted on 1/27/13 although wasnt notified until 1/28/13. I filed through taxact..anyone have a dd yet if accepted on the 27th?
Is anyone else annoyed with the fact that they got accepted on a date and have no refund date yet those who filed after you, same situation as you, nothing complicated, have a refund date?
Mine was accepted on the 24th and it is just showing accepted. Blah.
I was accepted 25th and saw someone else post they were accepted 27th and got a DD showing 2/1 already, but I still now only get either invalid info or that the site is down.
Darn I was accepted the 25th, and have seen a few say 2/1, but mine only said was being processed, then it showed my info as being invalid since or that WMR was down. I agree 2/1 would be very cool.
Filed with TaxAct on 1/24. Return accepted by IRS on 28th around 3pm. WMR says processing/received (the first status bar filled). I am having my fees deducted from return then DD in BoA. Hotline says same as WMR. Hoping for more information in the AM!
Obviously the 28th wasn’t a popular day. I filed the 27th, was accepted about 11 am (PST) the 28th. I checked WMR earlier today, the status bar only says received. I haven’t called the hotline, my check is to be deposited into my checking account that updates throughout the day.

Accepted 1/24 processing no Dd
My story:
I filed on 1-17 with Taxact.
I was accepted on 1-24 around 2PM.
I filed 1040A, married filing jointly with 5 dependents (our 5 kiddos), and 2 w2s.
Checked this morning with WMR tool and could not get an update.
Eventually tried the hotline and got the processing…21 days message.
I have tried multiple times to order a transcript with no luck.
I JUST WANT A DATE!!!I filed the 26th and was sent a email from Jackson Hewitt saying my refund was accepted the 27th. I checked WMR and it says processing with the bar and everything..so heres to hoping that the early filers are being processed as usual. If not hopefully I can be rejected and then re-file without the form…
I filed on 1/29 and was accepted today called wmr and it says processing and could take up to 21 days! BLAH :-(
Filed with turbotax on 1/24, got accepted 1/27.
On the where’s my refund today (1/30) it says to “payment being sent to bank on 2/1 and if not seen by 2/6 to contact them.
I have to say this is the fastest in my history of filing if it really hits when they say.

I filed on the 20th and got accepted on the 28th. From all the reading Ive been doing the irs isnt doing weekly deposits this year. With the new system they are also testing testing daily refunds! I will not swear to that though. I was reading about the new Mef system today :)
Filed with JH on 21st Received Acknowledged email on the 28th , no info still on WMR site. IRS hotline says received and processing. SBBT site says no refund received still. Please post your status update my fellow 28th ACCEPTANCE fans.

Boy this website is addicting! I filed mine on the 24th and was accepted on the 26th, and I cant access thw WMR site, it says they have no info on me, and when I called the 800 #, it said the same thing as others have heeard, its processing, 21 days, blah blah blah.. I too wish I would of known this before I field, I would of left off the 8863, and just filed it later on.. Ugh..
@ Lina, I sure hope that 2nd IRS person you talked to was right!I just wish the WMR site would at least show some kind of information..
So we wait…..Hi fellow 8863ers. First let me tell you that if you check WMR too many times in one day, it will basically block you and tell you nothing is found. It has been like that for years. I think it’s for your protection in case someone got your info. Also after speaking to one IRSer that didn’t even know there was a hold on 8863, I called back & the next lady said they should process 2/11. So by logic conclusion, those who got accepted last week ( w/o 8863 ) are getting DD on 2/1 we should get it a week after 2/11. Fingers crossed and we should all keep in touch and post when ours has been received.
Filed on 1/29 didn’t get accepted until today (1/30), keeping an eye on this board hoping that you all put up good news and I’m a day behind hehe!! FINGERS CROSSED FOR US!
I filed 1/29 and was accepted same day. Today WMR says received and processing also. It would be REALLY nice to get a DD on 2/1.

@Crys, filed with H&R block on the 27th.. not sure if it was “accepted” beacause the IRS didnt start accepting the returns until the 30th,but I know a lady that works thre that entered all the returns in the system the next day so that when the IRS started to accept them on the 30th all of us that filed that day and before would already be sent to IRS…
but like I said before mine was showing through the IRS WMR site earlier .. now it isnt showing anymore .. who knows .. always something every year.. Im not goign to expect mine anytime before Feb 21st..Mine was accepted on the 26th and I checked the WMR around 1pm and had the processing bar, just rechecked it and same thing. Called the number and it says they received it and 90% get their refunds in 21 days yadda yadda… had I known this was going to be an issue I would have filed without that form and amended later :( some of us rely on this money for things that we can’t afford any other time. Like I need a new laptop for school and I need to fix the car that’s broken down outside that I havent been able to fix for 4 months. Ugh…. I miss paying H&R Block ridiculously high fees to have my money super fast :/ Seems like it takes the IRS longer and longer every year
@Connie.. the same thing happened to me earlier .. return accepted .. but now cant find me or I entered my info wrong.. and I didnt file with the 8863 (whatever that is)

@Jackie 1/24. And it showed the tracker bar earlier today with only ACCEPTED filled in and the usual 21 day notice, now it is like years gone by where it shows nothing – like they don’t know you telling me I might have entered my information wrong. Just checked again, same thing. Perhaps this is like someone said, that they are doing them by hand or something. I should stop reading this site, LOL, I’m not all the concerned about it just makes me wonder, you know?

Your return has been received. You can expect to receive an email acknowledgment within 24-48 hours, indicating whether or not your e-file was accepted.*sigh* mine showed the Accepted bar a few hours ago on WMR, now they don’t find me. Wonder if they are holding it or kicking it back. Time will tell.
I contacted Turbo Tax to figure everything out and basically everyone who had been accepted early and approved, the IRS is holding on to those returns and if you were not accepted yet Turbo Tax will send your efiles out when issue is resolved.
This is some of the info I was emailed after speaking with a Turbo Tax rep.“Thanks for reaching out. It’s good to hear that your return was accepted. Because your return has the form 8863, IRS will start processing refunds for returns like yours starting mid February. Don’t worry if your tax return has this form, you don’t need to do anything on your end. After mid-February, you can expect to receive your refund in 21 days or less. Hi- I filed with Turbo Tax Friday Jan 25 at 10pm and my husband and I both had a 1098 and filed form 8863. My current status says in line for processing and a link under the message that read:

The IRS started processing returns on January 30th. Returns will be processed in the order they were submitted and as soon as your return is accepted, we will notify you by email. This notification could take up to 24 hours.

No I was told 15th the soonest. I have a feeling it will change to the 8 th tho
