I received that same message and i filed 1/29 and as of today 2/13 i still haven’t received a letter and called and cant get any details from them. I did online notification on my profile to see if i can view still nothing there but i have to wait one more week before i can request it again. So frustrating

Sorry to hear that. My situation is different from yours but years ago, I forgot to enter important info on my return and it got rejected. I had to mail it and it took about 2 weeks after they received it before I got my refund. It totally sucks to mail it. I even got a tax advocate because I really needed the money at the time.

I received this message also, from what I read it’s mean errors and IRS will take to fix them or you will receive a letter if they can’t fix them. That’s what it says on IRS site.

Same here I filed on 2/2 and accepted same day and college credits no dependents and nothing at all just accept it is strange last year my refund was deposited on the 9th cause I file same day every year.

What kind of letter? We receive an identity theft pin every year since an IRS agent took off with our kids info. We received it in December this go round

@momof5-2008 I agree. I decided that ill wait until March 1st and hope that I have the letter by then. I’ve always received my refund by Jan. 31st its been that way since 2010 and nothing has changed for me in the last 5 years. I get that it’s random but if nothing has changed from the previous years why target us. I’m just going to wait I guess (really don’t have choice) I’ve tried to find a way to clear things up in person, phone and even virtual but i still have to have that letter.

Will it likely be 10 days like it was last year? I have noticed things seem to be getting processed a bit quicker this year than last year for a lot of people.

Filed the 29th, it showed on the WMR the 31st. No changes since. E-mailed the KDOR tax advocate last night and had a response this morning that our return was updated and will be deposited this week. I’ll update if/when it does.
We filed through them this year and had an address change. Any change on KS usually holds you up until you contact them.

I have the same message, but I am not on the PATH Act. Mine changed to that yesterday. I’ve had an as of date for 2/12/2024 for over a week but it also shows a processing date of 2/26. I looked at last year’s transcript and I received my refund 2 weeks before the processing date. Hopefully some movement soon. Accepted 1/19. Maybe an update tonight as 2/12 has passed. I am a daily.

Mine still just says “application received” and hasn’t been processed yet. Last year was the first year they did this but even though I always file on the first when it opens, I don’t get that refund until after my federal refund. I was hoping this year would be faster, but it’s not looking that way.

Same for me. They said the letter can take 3 weeks to come in the mail then another 3-9 weeks for return. Our letter was mailed last week but nothing still. Not sure how they can mail me something i requested in two days but the identity letter takes three weeks. Feel like they are delaying on purpose.

@AJ Last year my transcripts were like yours ALL had N/A, and everyone was moving even the people that filed after me. For the past 3 years I’ve been getting stuck with 05 cycle code and that code only moves once a week, so I would only check transcripts on Friday. When the Friday before President’s day hit ALL TRANSCRIPTS loaded from N/A and account was complete with an 846 code Got my check at 905pm on President’s day. So don’t be frustrated

I did not file through TT. Filed through private preparer. Same one we have used for 23 years.

Just looked though last years return and there is nothing different. Even had the AOTC. Filed on Friday, transcripts updated Tuesday, and had my refund the following Friday in 2023.

So frustrating.

I think there may be some validity to that @Tishaa. I just said to myself I always get my check a week from my as of date. This year it’s February 26. I believe that majority of path will get their Checks the week of president’s day. It’s always the week of president’s day, because every year the chime people have their money that Friday while the other have to wait until 9pm on president’s day to start seeing their deposits

So I already know about the EIC and CTC. I filed 01/27/2024 & was accepted 01/29/2024. I was told I need a letter with a code to confirm my info. I have yet to receive this letter. When it get mailed out (02/19/2024)? Any other year I file in January and get them back before then end of the month (that’s with EIC & CTC). I guess I’m lost on why they did thing this way this year. I’ve had a ID.Me account t since 2020 n never had to go through this. I don’t owe anything and everything is the same for the last 5 years.

WMR shows return received. Last year I had a DDD 3 days after filing. However, the AOTC is new for me this year. Transcripts still showing N/A. Unfortunately, I am a weekly so hopefully this week, it will update. Fingers crossed.

Very expensive for a simple return. I agree with others who posted. Report this guy to your states attorney General office with receipts of the fees.like others said alot easier and cheaper to file your self with services such as TurboTax. H R Block .freetaxusa. you can use a smartphone to file with these services too..simple and easy they walk you through the process,anyone can file themselves with a simple return and with a child or 2.

Last year I filed TT on Sunday 1/29 and received a DDD on Wednesday 2/8 – 7 business days after filing. As of today it’s been 7 business days…. 🫤
