Filed 1/25. Accepted 1/29. IRS transcript still blank. Irs2go app still says tax topic (1 bar). Idk about this year being faster 🤷‍♂️ .. definitely got more money though.

It’ll all probably populate (transcripts) overnight tomorrow night into Friday. Even during the day Friday it’ll start plugging in. Unless there’s an issue. I was like that last year and saw everyone getting some kind of movement, and I was so discouraged…but it all processed over one night/early morning. So, hopefully this isnyalls circumstance. Fingers crossed. ;)

First time filing with TaxAct . I opted for fees to withdrawn from federal return . Does this mean the are sending out a prepaid card or putting in my bank account once they take their fees out ?

FTB shows my refund was issued on Friday, 2/9, and as of today the refund still hasn’t hit my account. I bank with BofA and normally it’s in my account 3 days after being issued. Is anyone else having a similar problem? I’m hoping the money is in my account tomorrow. I also called FTB and spoke with a rep, and she is saying it could take up to 4 weeks to receive my refund in my account which doesn’t sound right. UGH so frustrating……

I have the same message as well. He also said they are very backed up on processing taxes but that my taxes were sent to the department that reviews and process the refunds. I have no letters from the IRS or anything pending. it looks like the rep. I spoke with was surprised about this message. But all the reps. are telling us something different.

I highly suggest filing yourself before you submit if there is any errors they notify you right then and there. So you can fix before submit taxes. I’ve used them for 7 yrs and have never had an issue.

Just fun I suggest registering and input the data they ask you, you actually see the what your getting back in realtime

Same here. Filed via TT on 1/24 and accepted 1/29. No movement in 2 weeks except “accepted” and “Topic 152.” Nothing updated on my IRS ID/me account either.

Married, filing jointly, only 1 CTC this year, not a pather. Only difference was a $600 additional refund for paid child care expenses last year. I’ve been filing electronically for 6 years and it’s never taken this long, even during COVID.

TT is usually funded by SBTPG and from my experience they will get the money first and then give it to you on your deposit date. But you can check their website and see if and when it says funded.

Mail it asap, my ex constantly tries to steal my kids tax credit. She’s a welfare bum. No income uses her husband’s return to try a claim and I have to file paper returns all the time. She commits a felony every time and the IRS does squat. Just show proof the dependent is yours to claim and you’re good and they process.

Yes. You can be selected for IDV before Path lifts. However, if you already have the Path message on WMR I wouldn’t expect it and you should be good to go for an update on transcript on the 16th, WMR on 17th.

I like that idea. We’ve hated it too since then. I think fraudulently filed returns have been reduced some according to recent TIGTA reports. But it’s law. ugh. Don’t see it changing any time soon.

State is completely separate from federal. If you are being audited by federal it will not have an effect on when your state return comes back unless the state finds something you messed up on the state return portion.

If you haven’t created a IP Pin and did I.D me online verification you are more likely to run into this issue. They are taking tax fraud very seriously this year, and are making sure that it is 100% you that filed your return. Doing both of those will ensure them that it was you and not a fraudulent filing.

Can you get pulled for ID verify before PATH lifts? I saw someone comment on FB telling someone else that they can’t be listed as needing to verify before PATH is lifted.

So, when I came to the forum this morning & saw that yours changed, something told me to go check my fiancés. Low & behold, he no longer has to verify! Thank goodness! I would send him an email to ask him for an itemized breakdown of the fees. Find out the cost of everything he did for you. I recommend email so you have written proof to show the AG or the company he represents. Do this right away! Don’t let this snake take your money!

Every year every tax season since they implemented PATH. It’s the same feeling every year. Then when you wake up,and check your status there’s nothing. Now my entire day is consumed with waiting on the next day. I can’t focus at work or anything. It’s really bad if you have that 05 cycle code, because then you have to wait until Friday to see anything. Gee whiz. I really don’t understand the reasoning for PATH when people are still submitting fraudulent tax returns. There has to be another way to implement some form of security. When you go to certain sites they ask you questions like what color was your Ford Explorer or which of these streets have you ever lived on stuff like that for security reasons. Maybe they should do that before allowing you to submit electronically, because this PATH stuff is definitely not it.

Ok like alot of folks I check to I run out of my daily limits. So I file January 26, 2024 and made 56k this year. I have 2 kids under 17 and I checked at 5:03am this morning and it has been approved for the ctc, eitcand the standard deduction. I says I should recieve the refund in my bank by March 1 this year. I have checked the state but I’m sure it goes along with th federal. It is coming everyone
