All a marketing scam have you heard or seen someone get theirs in 5 day’s at any of those places???? Since I ever filed with Netspend and credit karmer it was always 1 day before the refund date. Even if I paid fee’s upfront 1 day before and each year it seem to get higher and higher from original 2 day’s. Making folk leave one to go to the next thinking it will be faster and is the same thing!!!

And they all be saying come get a advance ONLINE were eligible making folk think they will get that advance making us apply and DON’T IT!!! That is wrong how they mislead folk and need to be put on the spot by GOVT about using us pretending like they TRUST US but having no plans of approving alot of us off the top. It be the ones on the job for 20 years with “a” plus credit they give the advance too while online!!

Those local tax stores give folk advance loans based on the amount they getting BACK after doing their taxes and charging like $700 fee’s folk with multiple kids EIC, ACTC CTC no other reason but the online don’t TRUST many of us average joes tricking us as if they are going to give us those advances having no real intentions.

tricking us into becoming their customers 5 days early, advances, and they will charge less and don’t etc.. Hey if I could give “EVERYONE” online an advance like $500 after IRS accept them I’d do that!!! Just pay me $100 extra when your $$$ comes 2/22 and can do this every year for those that need that during this waiting process!!! It should be forced that they make it mandatory of 3 days early min!!! besides just verbally saying it’s up to 5 day’s knowing it’s 1 day before deposit schedule!

Every year there is always a rumor about SBTPG…and I am pretty sure this is the exact rumor. Unless you entered incorrect banking info for your deposit once they take out their fees, everything will be fine. I’ve been filing for over 10 yrs with SBTPG and they are definitely slow, they hold onto the money until the last minute, but it always works out.

You guys will like this. The status of my return changed to “refund approved, deposit to be made in your bank by Feb 22 (today is Feb 17). So tonight I needed to go on my banking app for something, and the refund was already in there! Based on the message on IRS2Go, I expected to see it next Thursday, which is the 22nd, at the earliest. I suppose this means as soon as the status changes to “approved,” your refund could show up at anytime. Good luck!

No other wierd codes, 0.00 amount on 570, no notices or letters in account or mailed thus far. One dependent, no EIC or ACTC. Was originally 2/5, then 2/12 then 2/19 then 2/26 then back to 2/19. Updated transcripts filled in 2/7 with 570 and 3/5 date.

I don’t use Chime nor will I ever use turbo tax because of the fees and the bank that they use, but based off of what I’ve been reading could it be possible that they weren’t accepting deposits from them at that time? The chat message says at that time as if there were technical issues. I don’t know everyone’s interpretation of things are different when reading certain things. I think if it was permanent it would have said that they are no longer accepting deposits from tpg.

@kat there are so many different stories that I’m waiting to hear from tpg Tuesday. There is a blog on chimes Facebook page. Most people are saying this is a scam because nobody with tpg has not even been funded yet. People who got loans went through credit karma and people with state taxes came from the state. We are being lied to. Chime told me that tpg ended their contract with them. I don’t believe they would do that during tax season

I’ve had this and did receive my letter. It was a 12c letter in my case requesting info for my 1095a and missing 8962 form. I faxed all info and yesterday my wmr updated to we received requested info and is processing my return. My bars are back. I really just hope that’s a good sign. Transcript top 2 still has n/a

Has anyone used SBTPG to take their fees out of their refund THIS year and already received their funds? I heard they have rejected some IRS refunds because of a bank coding problem and if that happens to your refund SBTPG will either send a cashiers check to you or send it back to the IRS. If it goes back to IRS it could be 10-12 weeks to issue you a paper check.

I just chatted with them from their official fb and they said that they are not accepting refunds from TPG, and as was stated in another post in the forum they (Chime) made a comment on their most recent fb post that says the same. I am so livid. The only thing Chime has said for us to do is “reach out to SBTPG for alternatives” but the only thing they’ll do is send out cashiers checks.

My WMR and transcripts haven’t updated at all. Filed 1/7 and it’s been accepted for awhile now and this is the first year I have been able to login to my transcripts and irs account. I wouldn’t even have known I needed to “Verify my tax return information” if I didn’t get on the irs website this year because I have not received a letter or update anywhere. On my account I have a notification that says I need to verify my return info, and I’m waiting on a letter in the mail.

They have come out on their FB page saying one thing, and in private chats saying another. Some people have received their deposits, some are saying rejected.

So let’s stop saying it’s A LIE.

Also, more then 3 direct deposits for refunds in one acct will be denied. Hopefully, this is true!

I decided to get my funds loaded on my Emerald card this idk why but called the 800 number for the emerald card and it has received the funds but gave me a DD date of 2/22! I got my refund a week n a half/2 weeks later. I think my transcripts updated the next week and it was in my account 5 days after that…. I had to do this last year too. I called and they said I had to wait for the letter but they would send another (this was last year)
I got that letter like 5 business days later and verified over the phone, I chitchatted with the lady and she never asked me for the damn number on the letter, so the letter was redundant really… It’s just another way for them to prove that the Name on the refund is at the Address of the refund by sending a letter with a code.

Just got off the phone with Chime member services and they assured me that as long as I entered my DD info correctly when I filed that I WOULD receive my DD no problem. I explained the process from the IRS to SBTPG to Chime and she assured me that there has been no block. I hope we aren’t all getting different answers but that ‘s what I was just told.
