Like to our own Personal accounts? I applied for advance because I was “pre approved ” then later denied & still have to have my refund go to the CK account but would like to take it all at once. it says you can only take off $500 a day at the ATM, seeing if anyone has used it before that found a hack to this?

Now they say they received the funds today and that it takes a few days to process and take fees from the deposit. And I explained to this supervisor the fees were already taken out and sent to them and now they are just holding. They just keep saying the system shows it will automatically be released the 22nd and there’s no way for them to release the funds early. Guess now I’ll just speak to H&R block for my filing fees to get refunded.

Call the IRS. JUST BE GLAD you even have a DDD. Is there anything in writing saying your DD should be the same year after year ? Lots of factors. Like Bank? HOLIDAY ? Or Maybe they just felt like doing it this way.

After getting the run around from the agent for 20 mins. I finally got the supervisor on the phone. He tried to give me the runaround as well. I explained to him that I already know they have my funds and they are just holding them until the 22nd. He explained that there has been a delay for h&r block customers and that it shows in their system the funds will be added to accounts the morning of 22nd. I asked for another # for emerald card. He gave me this which I’m about to try.

I did my taxes 1/29 and iRS sent me letter 2/9 received on 2/13 requesting my w2 to verify my wages and faxed the same day 2/14 update to we have received the request documents and you are now processing and I got my bars back for received and no waiting for approved but that has been since 2/14 no updates on transcript top two N/A and the bottom two just have date 2023 blank no info.

I did a couple of years ago and I work for the state. It was because the state issued a corrected w-2 after I already filed my taxes.. I waited around until May when I finally contacted a tax advocate who helped me get the refund within a week. This year I received the 570 code, filed 1/29. So either I filed to early before the state reported my wages or it’s my husbands new job causing the mess.

Katie you must be weekly. Yep, IRS systems are old AF and they either update daily or weekly for some. If it’s weekly then yeah makes sense your letter would come during a week that update is few days away.

I did one time 2 years ago and it took them a few months to process everything. That was during the year of covid so everything was massively backed up. Hopefully it won’t take that long for you but that CP-05 letter usually means you are in for a long ride til you see your taxes.

I am same Dan. My kids are all over 18 also so no CTC. I have a feeling it’s just a batch that was pulled around 1/29 and we are in it. Likely a deep review for identity verify.

Think of it like your paycheck at work. Your regular pay cycle is Friday, by Wednesday the job sends out the ACH as it typically takes 2 business days to deposit. Same thing applies to the refund, your DD, so expect the refund to be sent out 2 days prior which would be today. Some banks your deposit may land within 1 Business day, but normally it will take 2 business days which means early morning on 2/22 you will have your money.

Well, called to see why I have code 971 on my account that was added on 2/15. They said I will be receiving a CP05 letter. But they said it has a mail out date of 3/4? They said that my account is going through wage verification. I don’t pay social security as I work in state government and have our own retirement plan. Better to just give me a link to upload my documents. Taxes are fun! (sarcastic)

The person that posted that the banks hold it is absolutely true. They see it on their end but they earn interest on our money while it’s in their coffers. Sometimes you can call up the bank and they will release it but usually they won’t.
