I logged into my TPG account yesterday and it stated the amount of my return. It took me several times to log in over the course of ten minutes with the message “internal error”. I was finally able to log in and it said “unknown” for amount funded and everything else. Has anyone else gotten this same message?

Yes it wouldn’t let me post it on my original but mine was funded at 1:50 am pacific time 4:50 am est my time. I only got advance and paid fees upfront. Just waiting to see on my ck account.

And just to note, the 570 will always have 0.00 beside it as it is solely a freeze code rather than a monetarily actionable code. Only codes that result in a monetary action (adjustments) will have dollar amounts filled in.

Naturally, the 401k thing won’t apply to all but I figured it was worth highlighting. A 570 is caused by many different scenarios — injured spouse claims, identity verification, increased withholdings, innocent spouse claims, duplicate SSNs, first-time credits (meaning this is your first time claiming/using certain credits), adjustments (didn’t pay enough taxes or paid too much), and manual reviews when processing is stuck or flawed. It can be one thing or a combination of a couple

I will update how long it took from the time stbg updated to funded to when I actually received funds on my card. Hope this helps someone. I also realized the earlier you do your taxes the later you receive. It’s best to complete a week or few days after the season actually opens. I always seem to be in a rush and never follow the rule but next year I will. Oh and I also paid fees upfront.

Also, I did some more research. Not sure if it’s been mentioned but if the amount next to the code is 0.00, it generally means it won’t affect your money. I see mixed info in regards to the date. Some say that’s when it’ll be released (I hope not). Others say once code 846(think that is the approval code) pops up it can change and be earlier. I’ll never withdraw earlier again, too many issues smh

OMG! I am so glad I found this thread. I have the 570 code, 0.00 amount with future date 3/4/24 and no other code. Cycle 20240705. I did withdraw from my 401k for medical hardship. I’m not understanding why my refund is being held/delayed or whatever. Everything was entered correctly. After reading this thread and checking 5a is NOT filled out but 5b is. I filed with Taxslayer. Definitely frustrating how when you owe they come for you, but when they owe they can take however long they want…

Same here! I have made 8 documented calls, since 1/27…when the action req’d message appeared. I have heard now 3 letters were sent, dated back to 1/29. I have no letters. Transcripts are blank. No online notices. No local office within 100 miles. I waited a month. Today, they said wait a little more. Clearly, they are making it up as they go. Might need a tax advocate again this year. They are understaffed and mismanaged. And we are at their mercy.

For future years of filing get yourself an IP Pin. They are pulling more returns than normal for ID verification if you file your taxes without one. Having such Pin you won’t have to worry about possible identity verifications in the future.

@wolf going forward for future tax seasons, please sign up for an IP Pin. This will avoid anymore identity verification hiccups you may run into. Due to the increased amount of tax fraud more people are being randomly pulled to verify their identity. Having an IP gets you passed any verification questions as that assures them 100% it was you that filed the return.
