F/A TT on 02/17. A week later noticed the notification to verify tax return. No codes ever, marked no return filed. Requested letter twice from my side and once from hubby and finally received it today 03/25, dated 03/19. I successfully verified online and notifications have disappeared. We are 05. Hoping to see movement this week but hopefully by next. All we had to answer was our current agi, refund amount and last 4 of our direct deposit info.

Listed a number to call and to ref 1242 and they say the same thing 180 , sent all documents and being reviewed . All my stuff is updated no msg saying no returned filed transcripts are loaded with 150 4/8 as of 4/18 806 4/8 810 2/29/24. I pray Friday this horror story is over !!!

I know its ridiculous honestly! They told me people who file early usually get flagged 1st because it could be fake. I’m not filing untill after Feb 15th everyone else I know who has already got their money back.

UPDATE: My letter to verify identity showed up on my informed delivery for Monday! They said I just need to verify over the phone! I will do that tomorrow, then we will see what happens on Friday on transcripts. Almost to tje end. The letter was mailed on the 8th of March.

We just logged into both of our IRS accounts and it didn’t have the message in blue box at top saying, “your 2023 return has not be processing.” It went away and everything looks normal now.

The same boat as you I won on a lottery ticket this year they took 24 percent and everything else is the same and got hit with a 810 code 2/29/24 but verified 3/16 transcripts updated with processing 4/8/24 as of 4/8 and 806 4/15/24 … I didn’t get the 570 I got a 810

So the date next to my 571 code was 3/18 & unfortunately at least for us nothing changed. The as of date at the top was also 3/18 but no movement since the 571 code -.-

We had a 570 then 971. Two things happened, we verified our identity on 3/15 but then received a CP-05 dated for 3/18, which matched the date next to the 971 code. This week the same time receiving the CP-05 letter in the mail our tax transcript updated with the 571 code with a future date of 4/08. I’m assuming the review of our return was completed and the 570 code released. Wondering if the date next to the 571 code indicates about when the refund will be released? Did yours update yet?

By chance was it this number you called ? 1-800-829-0582, when asked for an extension, enter 362. Checked my WMR this morning and verify message went away and got topic 151 . The refund status says received but under review which is the 810 code. Did it advise you to mention ref 1242? Thanks you

Updateeeee ! Called today! They reversed my 810! Filed 1/24 ID Verified in person 02/28 with 5747c letter. Last week transcripts finally updated with credit codes and called today to get an update. They said my return wasn’t even under review and she reverse the 810. I’ll update again when I get a DDD. Sooo happy !

Do you have the name of the agent you verified to at the location two hours away? Get the phone number of that office, call that specific agent directly and ask them for help.

@Angie. Not yet. They said to give them to by April 15, which is the tax deadline. I hope it doesn’t take that long but I’ve already been waiting almost two months, a few more weeks won’t make a difference. Like I said, I’m just happy someone looked into it and confirmed I did nothing wrong.

Just got off phone with them and was advised as of 3/7 they have my taxes and working on them filed 1/29 so what took so long but anyways rep stated they would be sending out a letter and they have 60 days from when they took over from 3/7 to send the letter out and as of today it still has not been generated to be sent out!!?? Other than that no other information, just have to wait 2 months for a letter and then probably wait more after I do whatever it is they need me to do IF ANYTHING.

I checked online transcripts this morning, and still nothing. Still “N/A” in the top two boxes. The lower two have 2023 but nothing on them. It still says “No return filed”.

I just called the Tax Advocate number and the rep told me the same 60-120 day review message they’ve been telling everyone. I did have her confirm that she could see both of my W2s and my 1099R which she said she could. Hopefully now that the 1099R is in the system I’ll process soon.

Wife called the advocate service and agent on the line said she could only see the 150 code? No clue what is going on but this is getting crazy. Our youngest son was declared by the state as disabled and we lost our car before Christmas. Now we are waiting for Lord knows how much longer on this return before we can buy a car.
