Some ppl have been updating before they get the letter, some after, some wake up to money in their account even though transcript and WMR have no change, and then there’s the ones like me…stuck…nothing…no movement and absolutely nothing wrong with my taxes. And view balances and this morning it’s says owed for 2023 0.00 and I click view balance the same now owed 0.00 and before it had a message so I am hoping for updates Friday

Not sure but it looks like they worked Saturday – when I login now it’s say taxes owed 0.00 2023 and I click on view balance and it says 2023 0.00 owed and before it said if you requested an adjustment the information will not be available until completed

IRS tracking tool says my refund was sent on 3/15/24. The SBTPG still has my account as unfunded on 3/30/24. I have called, emailed 5x, and event contacted TurboTax. No response from anyone. Is this normal? When should I expect my refund to be sent?

This year is terrible. What date is next to your 971 code? That’s the date a “notice” will be sent out. I received a CP05 letter on 3/11 telling me there was nothing I needed to do and it could take up to 60days (from 3/11) before they finished “reviewing” my return….😒

Filed taxes for both of my sons. Both were accepted 1/29. Both had to verify their identity, received both letters March 23rd and verified both online. Still no updates for either. One has just a basic return with no credits at all, the other has ctc and eic. This has been the craziest year I’ve ever seen. Hopefully everyone will update soon .

What’s going on!?
Filed and accepted on 2/12. Still no progress and bottom two on transcript available but no data and no errors.
Have already called numerous times. They tell me many are out there like me. I don’t think so!
Only difference in this return vs previous is a gambling win of $1,200 that I received a form from the gas station for. Can this really be the reason for my delay? I filed with that form paying my tax debt. Are they keeping my refund from releasing because of this?

@bowl I am in a group called it’s 810 code and when I say so many people there have the 811/846 did they forget about us , check it out a lot of them had issue just like me and got refunded so I guess I have to wait for them to verify for me to be released … there is nothing they need from me now all done ! No updates here , called and was advised all i can do is wait . They have to verify my Fla lotto with commission before they can release what i filed. I won the money March 2023 and got a W2G in July to file . You telling me Fla lotto didn’t mention to IRS about taking 156,000.00 from me for taxes ..She said they have to verify and she hit me with 180 and i said every time i call i have been told that and she said i see they have already advised so start from there (like What)

I had the dreaded 570 and 971 codes. Had to verify and the CP05 letter were both received 3/18. Checked my transcript today and have a 571 code that things were resolved but no 846 code. Anyone know how long of a wait it was after a 571 code?

No change again, called IRS again and was advised to call this number 855 873 2100 then press 1 English then 4 for IRS advised to call. They said they needed me to send copy of w2 and uploaded the document online and sent to them, so let’s see how long this is going to take, she did say they have 120 days. Wish someone would have advised me of this almost 2 months ago! If you guys are stuck I would try that number to see if they can give more info.

I received a cp05 letter which means they have up to 60 more days to give me my money.
I owe TurboTax money that’s coming out my account 4/12 and I owe state taxes that I haven’t been able to pay and already got a penalty fee for not being able to pay.

I’m just tired & want my money to pay bills.

No updates. I undated weekly so I’ll check tomorrow.

I viewed the letter online on 3-11 (cp05) and got the letter in the mail on the 13th or 14th. No updates or movement. Got an email from turbo tax about the balance coming out of my bank account on 4-12

My 60 days from my letter is the 14th of April and I am going to call them everyday possibly a couple times a day until I get my deposit. One year it was the end of November until I got it. They kept running around in circles avoiding me until I called them everyday.

After the middle of July and it is less than a half of a percent. Unlike when you owe them, after April 15th deadline you owe penalties and interest and the interset is a lot more than a half of a percent.

Said I successfully verified and to wait 9 weeks. I know it never takes that long I’m just happy I’m back processing… the rep told me they have sent so many of the ID Verify letters out and it looks like it’s for no reason.. its real strange…

@Queennaj93-thank you for updating i called and was advised 180 day under wage review but i faxed over everything 2/13 and i checked my SSA account employer wages and they are loaded so I know they got them as well. The only thing i can think of is my lotto win and i sent them just what FL lottery office sent me as a W2G form and i am sure FL lottery submits all the money they took out for taxes.

Yes, amended my granddaughters return on 2/24/2024 to include an additional W-2 received. E-filed the amended return and was accepted by IRS the same day. IRS site “Where’s my Amended Return” indicates it was received 02/24/2024 and could take up to 16 weeks to process. As of today, 03/26/2024 no additional updates. I’ve amended her returns in previous years also. Generally speaking, it did take 16 weeks to complete processing and receive additional refund amount.

To date: NO deposit date. NO movement. Still stuck in the “we have received your return and are processing it”, or something like that.

It’s been 51 days and still NO movement; no letter; no nada.

WMR says delayed past the normal timeframe with nothing else. Spoke with several IRS agents (who are all no help) and they stated that they are scheduled to mail me a letter on 4/1 that states that I need to wait 60 days for review. She also stated that they are being told to tell people to wait 120 days instead of 60 because of the backlog. She said it could be July 30th till we see it! How annoying!!!! Anyone else file around the same time and have your DDD yet?
