If the return was too large they would mail it or if it is rejected when they try to send it. I’ve seen it happen a lot this year! It should show you on your transcripts when they mailed it.

So, I have used TurboTax each year for over a decade (I set a reminder for 2025 to stop using them but that’s a different story). I have always been a 05 code, gotten fees deducted, had dependents and never file before IRS starts accepting all credits for review, transcript updates on Saturday, DDD for federal on Wednesday, no later than 17 days from filing and have never received Louisiana state before federal, in fact they won’t even review it until after federal is completed. So, there you have it. If you used TT, look at your previous years accept date, and that years DDD and don’t freak out until after that time frame has elapsed. I recommend using the automated system, simply to acknowledge what you already know from WMR. It never hurts to give an automated system a nudge in your direction, calling more than once, verifying, etc. is a waste of time, almost every person you speak with has zero
experience, the IRS hires just like Walmart during Christmas season. Just chill, look at your own past history and go from there.

It sounds like you had the ID me verify and to verify your return as well. They are two different things. Unfortunately I’m in the same boat as to verifying for my return. Got the lovely letter Monday and was able to do online since my account has been established for a couple years now.

Well nothing has changed, still has as of date of 3/4 with the 570 code and 941 notice sent (I haven’t received any notices, however I believe it is because they calculated a few dollars more in my refund and they normally tell you if they change it.) Here’s hoping we all get pushed to the top of the list!

I spoke to another rep today that told me I will be getting a CP05 letter by 3/18 and that the IRS has 120 days from the date of the letter to review my information.

I verified with my employer that they did send my wage information to the SSA.

So I’ve seen on other pages that some reps will tell you it takes about 2-3 weeks. They say 9 so you don’t harass them OR have any other issues with the return. We just got our letter this past Monday and hoping to get ours soon! We are usually weekly’s I’m hoping to see something next Friday on our transcript’s. I seen several say they got their date in two weeks after verifying.

I am in the same boat as you all, accepted 1/29- code 570 as of 03/04 .000
code 971 notice issued 03/11 with a 0.00 amount, I have seen a common denominator, my coworker and I filed around the same time, we both withdrew money from our retirement accounts, we both have the same issues!
I am hoping it’s a glitch and it’s fixable. I am seeing some people who get the 846 after these codes, fingers crossed!

Trace just means they pushed it to the ACH – it still might take a cycle or 2 for the ACH to push it to chime, then chime still has to resolved the ACH batch to have it added to the accounts… They may not “Hold” it but theres still a process before it gets to the account. All we can do is be patient, now, if it isnt there tomorrow thats when its time to reach out to them to figure out where your $$$ is.
