WMR still is on verify page.
When I click to verify on wmr –> IDme –> page states we cannot help you, if you verified it takes 21 days…
Transcripts: top two = NA, bottom are still blank w/as of 2/19 (no movement).
Patiently waiting but patience is wearing very thin.
I know this was from a few years ago, but what was the message for? My son just got this on his for Illinois We have received your return, but we cannot process it completely without additional review”. Any info would be appreciated or ideas. He has not got any letters yet. Thank you

971 dated 03-18-2024Called the IRS as I have been dealing this this since February, and was advised there is nothing to do but wait 60 or even 120 days. I didn’t get a letter yet, but if I do it will be a CP05 as per the IRS Rep. In the last 10 years, I never had to call the IRS until this year.
Congrats to everyone who are finally seeing refund dates! Anyone with a refund date do an early withdrawal from 401k? If so, you’re giving me hope!

On your irs account on first page you will see notifications and under it you would see a verify notification towards the bottom of page I entered my 14 digit code and the notification went away that’s how I knew I was getting a letter because I had the verify notification

Do weeklies update throughout the day on Fridays or do we wait until next Friday to see movement?

I think if your letter hasn’t been mailed yet the option may not come up. It was there for us though as soon as we were accepted. Update or no update for me: transcripts still blank top two n/a wmr say the same still processing it has since we’ve been able to see it it never went to path or verify message only on the online account.

Code 570 after 2 weeks, 971 for 2 weeks. Weekly update and refunded showed today.
I did notice every one on here had some formnof other income other than a standard w2.

Update 3/8 No updates but reach out to a Tax advocate and advised me my last step was the verify in person and I called and called and was told numerous times i didn’t have to and wait the 60 days from the date of the faxed documents I sent on 2/14 but nope I have to verify as well. Appt 5/6/24
How did you verify online? When I login to my account using Id.me I don’t see an option to verify myself.

No updates! 570 for past 2 weeks, no 971 codes, per rep at IRS they did say letter was sent out a few weeks ago and I did receive it but just says we are still working on your refund/taxes but that no action is required and that’s what rep said, nothing to do on my acct that they are still processing my return. I did lose the path/152 on WMR 3 weeks ago and only thing that changes on transcripts is the as of date that has changed 4 times now.
@februaryfiler that’s awesome checked mine no updates nothing… Filed 1/30/24 cycle 0605… Couldn’t need it more this year..
Still have 570 code dated 3/4 my as of date changed to 3/25
@starr3 yeah I log into the site and it says there are no notices. I assume that means I don’t need to verify or I need to wait until 3/18.
@Getting impatient: you log onto your irs account and after you get your passcode it will be the page that has your account status and where you’ll see notifications. If you need to verify then it will say it on that page

Got my return verification letter 2/29, verified and was told it would be nine weeks.Called 3/6 and was told to expect a CP05 letter in the mail and up to 60 days to finish processing.
Woke up this morning to 571 as of 3/25 and 846 as of 3/13!
I’m also checking in I verified online on 2-28 and checked my transcript today and seen my as of date changed from 2-12-24 to 3-25-24 but transcripts are still blank
Friday weekly updates and if a deposit is coming WMR updates on Saturdays
Still no updates. 570 and 971 codes with same dates and NOTHING received in the mail. Well over a month since filing. Feeling very frustrated. I’ve checked IRS notices etc and nothing there either.
When does a weekly normally see movement on WMR? Friday or Saturday?
I filed on 2/2 and was accepted 2/3. I have seen nothing so far. No letters or notices, no updates at all. Just says that it is still processing. Filed single, no credits, I had 1 W2 and 1 1099, also a schedule C for a small side business.
@starr3 where do you go online to enter this information? I’ve checked the transcripts but can’t find anything and talking with the Agents, they say that I have to wait on the notice. The transcripts say notice issued 3/18/24, so I wait until then? Is there a trick to doing it online or over the phone?
Just checked and transcripts are updated with 846 refund issued for 3/13… refund dust to everyone I think you are going to be getting good news

Never Received a letter. Withdrew from my 401k last year first time
Monday WMR went from path to being processed.
Just check have 571 with 846 DDD3/13File 01/29 accepted same day ,code 570-02/26 and 971 -03/04 on transcripts, notification on my transcripts on 03/04,
CP05 letter, and asked me to verify return filed ,also ID verify ,i verify using 14 digit code next to the 150 code on my transcripts and it worked ,hopefully we see a DDD 846 tonite …I filed with HR block on 2/29 and was accepted 2/29. Still waiting. I figure I will update this weekend since I am weekly.

Had no movement , wmr just said still processing, bottom 2 blank.
Called 2/20 which was when the 21 days where up. Was told a letter was sent out 2/9 to verify. I never received it. Called back 2/23 and was told I could do it in person as I didn’t have a letter.
Went today, 3/7 to verify in person. I will update when anything changes@sgorham29 ya we have dealt with them be4 but indiana was so bad. i really am thinking tho we will get some kind of movement in the next week or 2 i checked past trans an it was about 7 weeks from the 570 on one and 5 wks on the other. i think every1 needs the $$ and if we cld pay the effin debt we would have by now.
@februaryfiler I filed everything online at the same time with FreeFileUSA. Did not check transcripts this year but Processing the whole time until this past weekend and Approved with Deposit Date appeared. It was in my account when they said it would be. This was the quickest year for us in the past we’ve had to wait until July or August. Good luck!
I filed 2/15 and finally got an update with 846 today. Before this, no transcript info available. Keep checking your transcripts!
@starr3 I did call. This time, the agent asked me a lot of questions regarding my information and my dependent information. Much different than any previous phone calls. Hopefully, this is what they needed. He did say that I’m one of the files that got pulled for random review. Only thing different is I claimed student loan interest and one more dependent since their father passed away. Thanks for your help!
@ihatetaxes123 for 3 years I have used an advocate and it just made the struggle longer! Last year I had to reach out to my congressman! It was August before I got my refund
Well I got my notice today and it was just what I thought math error so I get a little more than expected, still have just the 570 code and the notice code of 971 as of date is 3/4/2024 cycle 20240705

We filed ours early this is headache I usually wait til the 15th of Feb and get it back around beg of april sometimes late March! Im hoping for the rest of us to have our refunds by that time frame it’s lame and if u have the 971 does it have a 290 on there with the additional tax assed that would be they have processed ur form I don’t have shit just that 570 2-26-24. Ifk I might just call the tax advocateThis is my first time filing taxes in IL. I still have an out of state license, so I wasn’t able to eFile, but I did elect for direct deposit. I mailed in my tax forms.
I finally received my letter in the mail asking to verify identity. I was able to do that online today (3/7/24).
My question – how long does ID verify usually take (I know it says up to 120 days), and will I receive a paper check instead because I had to verify?

We have the same codes, dates and cycle. I filed 1/28 with taxslyer and was accepted 1/29. Only difference this year is I withdrew from my 401k. 2023 was a rough year. Seems like 2024 is picking up where 2023 left off….anywho, we update weekly so if we do update it’ll be tomorrow. Trying to stay positive.@juile it sounds like you may need to call to verify
@starr3 I tried the verify identity and return but when I signed in, it gave me this message:
“We are not able to provide assistance to you via the identity verification tool.”
Sooo frustrating.
