I filed 42 days ago. Wtf!! Called IRS 3 times and got 3 different answers dont know what to believe.

Call 1 missing some employment information from one of my employers. My refund is on hold

Order transcripts and they have nothing on them.

Call 2 I will be getting a letter that im under a 45 day review begining March 11th.

Call 3 I was randomly selected for 45 day review begining March 18. So im totally confused. No letter as of yet. 😭

I went from refer code 1541 to processing going on 3 weeks . I have talked to the irs twice so far
and still haven’t found anything out , was told my taxes was up for review and could take up to 45 days and to just keep checking Where’s my refund and that I will get a letter in the mail

File Jan 16th. Got re-sequenced, Called the 1st time was told everything looks fine just a delay, got a 1541 code in February, in March got updated to processing which Im still at processing going on 2-3 weeks. Finally called again for the 2nd time and was told Im under review and it started on February 37th have to wait 60 days to verify information, could come within the 60 days. Smh said they sent me a letter i have not received a letter.

so i filed and got accepted on 2/3/2019. as of last week I started calling and was given 3 different answers. was told my return was sent to errors because i spelled an employers name wrong, then told all 3 times that my return was resequenced and that my 21 days didnt start until 2/20. So i called again this afternoon and was told that now I am under a 45 day review starting 3/25 and if i dont hear anything or get my refund by may to give them a call.And also told me that she sees nothing about my return being resequenced or anything. I’m so annoyed. Has anyone that has been under 45 day review gotten their return before the 45 days?

I called the IRS again this morning. And wouldn’t you know it, a different answer again. According to the lady i spoke with, everything looks good, no errors, no codes no nothing. Numbers all match etc etc. But, i was resequenced a couple of days ago and she said that should delay my refund up to a week. If i havent seen a WMR change or a deposit to call back on the 13th. Has this happened to anyone else and if so what kind of time frame did it take? Any info appreciated.

Ok, so I called the irs again this morning to check on my transcripts. Cant seem to view them. Tells me unable to register everytime i try. They told me that my 21 days hasnt come and gone yet and they couldnt give me any info. But i just spoke with a lady at irs on monday.( Which was my 22 day mark ). Said i was under a 45 day review for employer verification of income. Which begs the question. What the fu€× are they doing? They cant even figure out the day my return was accepted. 2/11 by the way. Im sure that when i call again on friday they will tell me something different again. Ridiculous….SMFH!!

Boyfriend filed 2/15/2019. Rejected twice, once due to clerical error (made him enter info himself this time) and once due to missing a form because last year, he chose a compromise because they were basically asking him to provide proof he lived with our son and some other stuff. He provided proof, but they basically compromised in July and offered him a reduced EIC. He didn’t know he had to file a special form, so we filed that, and accepted same night.

Fast forward a few days, he gets the processing message, then a couple of days later, he gets the 9001 code. Transcript says “No Tax Return Filed” with a 971 code for notice sent. Nothing has been received to date. That said, a few days ago, he went back to the processing message with 1 bar. No transcript updates yet? Maybe he got thrown back into the hopper?

So I filed on 1/15 accepted 1/15 had a bar for about 2 weeks, went to 9001 then 1541 called was told it was in review now it says we have received your return and it is being processed ordered transcript SK in the 03 processing which is supposed to be daily but then was told anyone with eic or child tax is automatically a weekly….I am so lost!!!!

It depends on why ur under a 45 day review. In my case its just matching up my 1099s and w2s to employer wages they sent in. Other than that i dont know. I got an advocate last year. Had to file amended tax return and finally got my refund in july. But that was an entirely different issue.

Thats not new info. Everyone knows that…lol. Im looking for answers as to why my refund (married-joint)-eic and ctc has not updated or changed at all. When my bro filed a week after me with same status, already has his state and federal refunds. I have no offsets, no codes. Just ‘being processsed’. Irs claims no issues. Yet nothing is happening.

I filed 2/11. A week before he did. Accepted same day. It better drop soon. This happened to me last year. Waited 21 days, called. Said nothing wrong etc. After another month called again, same thing. Finally end of may i got a tax advocate. After being processed for months, she figured out that irs had records of sending it but not actually sending it. Got my money in july. Sucked!!

On one of these threads there was an IRS employee who stated that WMR’s system is new this year and they are all still learning it. That would explain all of the confusing updates.

Unfortunately this year my dear, everything is out of order. People that filed before 1/28 are just now getting their refunds, however people that filed them last week are getting theirs too. People who filed the week that I filed 2/4-2/8, many of us got resequenced with a processing or still processing message and won’t see our refunds until next week. Crazy crazy tax year!

Has anyone heard or know of anyone who got their deposit without any wmr update? My brother got his deposit on friday. He filed 2/17. Eic and ctc. Wmr never updated nor did it take the 21 days. He just went to the bank and there it was. No notice. Is this a trend or a fluke?

I filed 1/30/2019 checked wmr said it’s processing. On the 25th of February got an I’d verification letter in mail. I foget form # but I vified now it could take another 4 weeks but wmr says processing. It always says processing.

Pretty much anyone that claimed EITC or ACTC is getting held up. A FEW folks got through somehow, someway but it seems like everyone who filed early, only to see their bars disappear and replaced w/ the “still processing” message is now getting a 3/11 – 3/15 date and the 45 day review BS line if you call. So it’s just a waiting, thumb twiddling game now. Which sucks ass. Kinda like the IRS this year.

Ok so I now know that I have an offset and the very nice IRS lady helped me and filed a form 911 for me with the National Tax Advocate. Because DOE put in to take my entire refund. But then I checked to see if I had a code on WMR and still no codes and it says it was sent to my bank yesterday 2/27/19. So I am very confused. Is there still hope that I could get my refund today. I filed on January 5 I didn’t get accepted until January 14 had a path message because I had a EIC, upon checking where is my refund on Saturday I had an approved message with two bars letting me know I should receive my refund on 27th of February .

My friend filed her taxes on January 5th and wasnt acceted util the 8th she has a identity pin so we figured thats why the delay in her getting accepted.
After a week she started to check wmr and the site didnt reconize her info at all after i got my due date i began to try to help her figure out why something told me to advise her to call 800 829 1954 (refund information automated system)
And sure nuff she got a DD for February 27th so im stating wmr is now as accurate this year as it has been for us in the past i hope this helps….

I’m not sure if you will or not but someone mentioned in the earlier comments below that they update WMR twice a week: (Wed and Saturdays)

Things are a little slower than last year especially after the gov’t shutdown. If you claimed a dependent for the Earned Income Credit then unfortunately you may have delays. I filed on the 24th of January and got approved on the 23rd of Feb,… Im just saying.

I filed on February 4, 2019, claimed the child tax credits. Accepted Feb 4,2019. I got the path messages up until Feb 15, 2019. On that day my bars disappeared and my tax topic was gone too. My filing status and amount was showing to the left hand side stil with the following message: we have received your tax return and it is being processed. I was in panic! However, woke up today to a DDD of February 27, 2019. Hope this helps someone!

I got the dreaded “Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.”

I called and spoke to an IRS representative, and she said that my return was pulled for review, and that the IRS has sent me correspondence letter. She told me not to panic (which is difficult when dealing with the IRS), and that it usually something minor. She also shared that many refunds with the above message end up getting a refund within a few days… just not me :P

Spoke with representative at IRS she stated that refunds will be paid out on the 27th of February. I filed on 28th and accepted on 39th. Bars went away on Sunday and just states bring process. She stated they have not not updated WMR since but next wave of refunds will be on Wednesday (27th).

@MrsWilliams2k19 me too! How do you check a transcript? I got to look into that. If there was any problems I think it would got some rejection message by now. Afterall, an update isn’t considered ” we’ve received your tax refund and it’s being processed” it’s accepted then approved.
Let us know when it’s approved! These updates take awhile. Last year I had money on my Netspend card cuz they pay do days faster; had it on the 17th of Feb. And WMR still was stuck on approved. I never looked back after 3rd day of receiving my funds.

I did some research and found out regarding updates to WMR (Where’s My Refund). The tool performs “major updates” every Wednesday (Early in the AM) and Saturday (Early in the AM). Wednesday updates are considered “Daily Accounts” and Saturday updates are considered “Weekly Accounts”. In my past experience, I have dealt with the bars disappearing out of nowhere (which is normal). At the beginning, the WMR tool indicates “Return Received” with one bar and then the “PATH ACT” message appears (EITC & ACTC). Once the IRS starts processing your return, the PATH message disappears and has either “Your tax return has been received and it’s being processed” (with info on the left side i/e expected refund amount, filing status, etc. w/ no tax topic) OR you may have a message indicating “Your tax return is still being processed”. This particular message indicates your return may require further review and may not guarantee the original 21 day processing (every case is different). Remember, WMR tool for “Daily Accounts” update every Wednesday and “Weekly Accounts” update every Saturday. I would imagine, those with weekly accounts, WMR will most likely update early tomorrow morning (around 3:00AM) with DDD (Direct Deposit Dates).

I’m a weekly. WMR still has the “processing” message but when i looked at my transcripts I have the “846” code with a DDD of 2/27/19. I’m sure WMR will catch up tomorrow. I also claimed 1 dependent, filed 1/28 and accepted 1/29.

I filed on January 24 with Liberty 🗽 and got accepted on Jan 27th. I got the the Path Act message 152 topic: stating the same thing for the the longest. Last Sat on 2/16 I got an update that we have received your refund and is being processed similar to everyone else. See last year I filed EIC on Jan 26 got accepted on the 29th. My DD was in my bank account on the 17th of February right before my bday on 21st. Today is my bday and no update so Im guessing early filers should have a nice update on the 26th. I normally used Tax Act online but I tried to get a loan thru Liberty which was a waste of time and money. These companies check credit so all that b.s they tell you about some get it and some not is ALL nonsense. Will continue to file my own from here on out.

I just spoke with an irs representative who says there are no holds on my account. I claimed head of household with both credits. I filed 1/18, accepted 1/22,transcript has processing date of 2/18 and cycle code 20190505 which means I filed a week later than I normally due. Rep said that I should be seeing a Ddd soon and if I haven’t received a deposit by 2/27 I should call back. More than likely I should receive a date on 2/23. All of the previous years I would receive my refund on the 22 or 23 but my transcript have a processing date of the 12 or 13. So my deposit is always 10 days after processing. Those of us who missed the first batch of DDD will be updated Saturday morning.. Hope this helps and Good luck to receiving an update Saturday.

Hello. I filed on 1-21 got accepted 1-29 and my status had all the bars and it said received with tax topic 152, until about a week ago. My bars went missing and it said “we have received your return and it is being processed.” A couple of my friends got a DDD on Saturday night(early Sunday morning) So I called the IRS today around 7:30 am(I am in Ohio) and after an hour being on hold, I FINALLY got through to someone. She looked into my case and said that it had been reviewed due to some employee numbers not matching, and it was fixed. She said she saw no red flags and everything should be good to go and to check back in a week on WMR, that they didn’t need any other info. I’m not sure how helpful this will be to anyone, but I just wanted to share my story on what was going on. She told me I had no audits or anything to worry about. So hopefully we will all get our refund soon! I will update my status as I have more details.

I filed 1-29-2019 my ddd was 2-19-2019 its says it has been accepted and the bar is filled to the end but no money?1 and I have no dependents

I filed EIC/ATC on 1/28 never had pathact. I had one bar till early Sunday morning then it went to being processed with information on the side. I spoke with IRS representative this morning she said that they can’t check anything for us ubti 2/27. If someone has another number they spoke with someone who looked at their status can you please post it.

By law, the IRS cannot release tax refunds for Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit related tax returns before mid-February. “Where’s My Refund?” will be updated by Feb. 23 for most early filers who claimed the EITC or ACTC. These taxpayers will not see a refund date on “Where’s My Refund?” or through their software packages until then. The earliest EITC and ACTC related refunds should be available in taxpayer bank accounts and debit cards starting Feb. 27, if taxpayers used direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax returns.

Irs says that still processing doesnt mean approved. It means still processing. If u call they will run an inquiry and find out if there are any holds or additional information needed.

I filed 1/26 still no ddd all it says is your refund has been received and is being processed

So I’m hearing, not sure if it’s true, that those that update Saturday the 23rd will have a DDD of next Wednesday…so I’m wondering if we update tonight then what will the DDD be?

No DDD, still says they have received my return and is being processed . I filled on 1/28 with etic. Hopefully I’ll get a DDD soon.

I filed and got accepted on 2/4 with EIC and CTC. No DDD on WMR yet. Just says “We have received your tax return and it is being processed.” Hoping to get a date or deposit soon.

Still says being processed. But I called IRS and they said all is well. No letters sent out. So just got to wait.

Honestly if it goes the same way it did last year probably the ones with DDD 02/21 will see it tomorrow and us with the 02/22 will see it Wednesday I might be wrong but I think that’s how it will play out.

Anyone with an update yet? My DDD is 2/22. I bank with USAA… just waiting on my money now. I’m the past I’ve always received my deposit 2-3 days early since USAA does not “hold” funds. I remember calling them last year and asking if they seen anything “pending”
At that point I was informed that USAA does not hold ACH Deposits, especially tax refunds. So I’m praying my deposit hits sometime today!!!

Anyone else with USAA with DDD of 2/22, pls post to let us know as soon as you receive. I’ll do the same the very moment I see my funds.
