Who Mailed paper return without IP Pin??

Does anyone know how long the process is to validate a paper return mailed on (2/11) from not having my IP Pin?

I got my first bar finally (3/2) after 2 1/2 weeks from mailing my return.

I just want to have peace of mind with an educated estimated time frame, if possible that is..

Hey Noel!

Did u call and check status? I would advise u to because that’s almost like verifying since they have to ask u security questions. This will allow the IRS personnel to leave a note that it WAS you who inquired about your return. Why aren’t u able to view WMR? Does it say no information available? U should be able to see status by now, even if it says “processing” without the bars.

Thanks Shay for updating. I filed my return a couple days after you and first got bars a couple days after you as well. This is giving me hope that I will have a DDD soon. No letters and I do not have to ID verify. I just can’t view WMR

Good news! Checked Saturday morning (4/8) and refund is approved with DDD of 4/12. It reached them on 2/21 first bar on 3/7 bars missing 3/9. I did NOT have to ID verify nor did I receive a letter. They verified my return without pin internally. Hopefully it get deposited without any issues. Hang in there guys it’s coming! Bless

Thanks for the update Ramona! Is that the only thing they asked for? Still waiting on WMR update, still says “being processed”…

So they sent mine back on the 20 of March saying they needed a signature I signed and overnight back same day to processing center waiting for wmr to say recieved

I called in today since I wasn’t able to order transcripts. Nice lady was very patient and helpful. Stated that my is posted but on hold due to the pin–which I knew, but she was trying to see if she can assist with removing the hold. She couldn’t do anything but told me that the system had an error with return on 3/22 it was delivered on 2/21 and was showing in system on 3/7. She said that the instruction given to her were to tell me to wait 6-8 AFTER THE 3/22 DATE! Like really? And that I should expect to wait until May 1. I hope not but she said hopefully my notes on account will make it go faster since I do have to verify to even have my account researched. So hopefully this call helped. Btw, I told her it’s been 6 weeks since I mailed but it’s really been 4 LOL so say that and they have no choice but to research your return. Hopefully u get someone nice–that really helps! Mailed my paper return last 02/22. Last saturday, i was able to access it through IRS2Go with one bar. Today, my bar is gone but tt 152 is still there. Should I be worried or not? Thanks :)

Stuck with general message of still processing. Mailed my return early feb. They received it 3-7-17. Had one bar. Updated 3-11-17 to still processing and check back for date. No topic. Stuck like that since. Dont know why its taking so long.

Mailed mine on 2/17/17 was delivered on 2/21/17 certified mail. Showed as received on 3/7/17. Bars went missing and generic “refund processing” message showed on 3/8 or 3/9 can’t remember. Bars are still missing…I am going to try to order transcripts. Hopefully, I get DDD this week or next week. Will keep you all updated.

I mailed mine in on Feb 22… every time I check my refund status it is still saying refund status error no information available at this time! Ugh

Same here I’m waiting for any update from mailing off my return without ip pin. Mailed of 02/5/17 got first bar 2/19/17, able to only order my account transcript but no return yet. Looking for some insight

We’re in the exact same situation other than mine was mailed about days before yours. Im wondering the same thing and have no idea. I was hoping someone answered your question. I’ll do some digging and get back with you if I find out something concrete.
