WMR updated with this message; According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue refunds before mid-February for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. This applies to the entire refund, even the portion not associated with these credits.
Check Where’s My Refund in mid- to late February for your personalized refund status. It’s updated once a day and remains the best way to check the status of your refund.

I woke up this morning and checked WMR and I now have 2 bars and a direct deposit date of 2/7. Which is odd to me as I have EIC on my Tax return. So what are my chances of actually getting it on 2/7?

@Lolojuju9 no one on PATH will get a DDD until it lifts. Everyone whose getting their deposits this week did/do not have EIC or ACTC. CTC does not put you on PATH, only the additional child credit and EIC does.

I’m sure everybody has dreamed of saying this. If you don’t have the credits , them we know not to harass the forums asking if you had the Dang credits , and if you’re doing it to bragg or two start , the you don’t deserve a refund

My deposit just hit my bank! Same as last year, always get it the Friday before my DDD. 2/7 DDD on transcripts and still one bar! Super quick! Good luck everyone!

Filed January 23rd and have a deposit date of 2/7.

Wow….Filed and accepted 1/19 – TaxAct. No movement
Transcript shows NA for all but wage.
Wage transcript does not have any information.
Hopefully tonight. Usually, a daily.

@Brandi me too! 2/7 DDD Also I checked last year and I received my refund on the Friday prior to my DDD ( which was also on a Wed last year ) and prior to my bars on WMR ever updating. So I’m praying for an early deposit again this year! So happy to wake up to all my transcripts populated. Stay patient people, its coming!!
