Was under 4464c review – got refund

Filed/accepted 1/23 with EITC via TurboTax. Bars disappeared 2/15 with “Your tax return is being processed” with no tax topic. I called IRS 2/25 and they said I was under review and it would be 45 days from 2/15. Received 4464c letter on on 3/3 which was dated 2/27 which said 60 days from date of letter. Called tax advocate on 3/5 asking for help and I was told there was nothing they could do to help unless a problem was found with my tax return.

Was pleasantly surprised at 5:50PM on 3/8 with a message from my serve card that my refund was deposited.

WMR updated on 3/9 with bars and “Return Approved” with a DDD of 3/13.

To reiterate, my refund hit my serve card the day before WMR updated, so I had no idea my refund was coming.

I received my refund on March 14 2018. I received a letter 4464C in the mail dated the very
day of the return, this came a few days after. It states that no action is needed on my behalf. Some time has gone and i become increasingly curious about why i have had this letter sent to me so I am trying to contact. Most likely I would wait this out per instructed, however, in the last few attempts prior to this posting, the IRS recording had begun to deny access stating that this is not the correct information they have on file. I may have identity theft happening and want to desperately check this out.

Although I have received my refund, I question the amount and need to speak with someone. I have never had an IRS issue.

That’s weird – I filed before you, but got my 4464c after you, then got my refund before you.

I just got off the phone with IRS and they told me just started my process, I filled 01/25, got accepted 01/26 and received a 4464c letter on 02/12/18 dated 02/07/18. My transcripts statd 03/05 and code 570. I am so confused

I just realized why I got my refund. Serve processes direct deposits 2 days early, so my 3/13 direct deposit would’ve processed on the 11th, which is Sunday. In turn, I would receive the refund on Friday, which serve processed at end of day Thursday. YIppee….
