This site posted an article with a few cycles getting 846. My cycle was one of them 20200405 but I have no 846. I’m still thinking my DDD will be 2/26 but I get my hopes up every year it’ll come sooner. Pssshh lol 😆

@Janay
You guys need to stop calling unless you get a take action. They tell you things from a script. They say that EVERY year since path to cover their asses. No tax service knows either. I’m a Tax Preparer and I don’t know for sure. My best guess is 2/26 for myself and my clients.

Just talked to an IRS lady and she told me nobody with PATH will be getting their refunds before late February or early March. I’m confused I’m hearing different things and then the lady at Jackson Hewitt said no some will start getting refunds this Friday !! I’m like wtf can we all agree on a date lol

If you have the PATH message at any time, weekly and daily doesn’t count. They’re all lumped in together to update in batches every day. I’ve seen weeklies updating with the 846 code since 6:00 am. Only weekly/daily will count for people who were never under PATH.

Sorry i got confused when you said it was “first come first serve” you actually meant it was “weekly and daily.”
I agree there are weekly and daily batches.

@JAKE
Call and ask if some accounts are only updated weekly, and if others are update daily. They will tell you that everyone is processed daily. I don’t get why you want to argue it. Why not call the IRS and find out if I’m full of it?

So all i need to do, is call the IRS and ask them what number i am in line correct?
First come, first serve.I worked for gvmnt payroll for years before, not how it works, its done in batches, and there are auditors standing by for when the system catches an error, the employee will review or push a button to send a letter or make a quick correction.

@Spre
What you’re saying isn’t true. Like I said, call the IRS and ask. They will tell you the same thing. They run on a first come, first serve basis. Always have, and always will.

As a weekly I don’t expect to see updates until Sat mornings. Not sure who the heck said there isn’t weekly rotations for processing but I have been an 05 cycle for the past 8 yrs and can attest there are some people only processed weekly!

my daughters transcripts and ours updated during the week last week. I expect we will see another update after 2 today and overnight. I was accepted 1/21 and have an as of date of Feb 17. PATHER. LAST YEAR I got my dd in our bank on 2/27. It was the shutdown delay. Year before we got it on 2/22. I expect 2/21 or 2/22 again this time.

EVERYONE IS DAILY! Its always been this way. Where does this weekly thing come from? The IRS doesn’t work that way. If you don’t believe it, then ask them. They will say the same thing.
