JUST TALKED TO IRS

They said they did NOT send checks to Turbo Tax. How you got your first stimulus is how you will get the second. I’ve filed with Turbo Tax for years and always use the “use my refund” to pay and my first stimulus, which I rec’d without delay, was direct deposited to my Bank of America account, which I’ve also had for years. The rep assured me Turbo Tax is not involved and I will receive my stimulus via direct deposit to my BofA account.

The “status not available” is a glitch in their system. It does not mean we are not getting a check or that there is any action we need to take. They are working on fixing the glitch. This is why some people see the deposit date on their transcripts.

Just because we did not receive our direct deposit on the 4th like a lot of people does not mean we will not receive it. They are issuing checks, cards, AND direct deposits all week and have until the 20th (or so can’t remember exact date). The rep said not to worry that we WILL be getting our money. We’re just the unlucky ones who got caught in their glitch.

Ok I will look out for word from the IRS. So far, the site says no. I don’t know if a few accounts moving to zero is enough to not listen to the IRS itself, especially if it’s bad news.

No it don’t ppl accounts are zeroing out now as we speak and 3 ppl had not available and got theirs yesterday . They were gona do that but ppl are upset

Yeah. It says if we show status not available or whatever, we’re screwed until taxes.

Because we do. They were sent back to the IRS and now we need to claim them on our taxes.

Then why does the irs say we have to file a tax credit with our taxes now?

Because they were sent… to the tax preparer. Into an inactive account. And now they’re being sent back.

Then why do we have 846 codes and dd dates on out transcripts?!

Thank you for the information because I see on my transcript it was issued on 1/4/21, then it has something on 1/18/21, but when I check the get my payment info it says we don’t have enough information or you are not eligible message. It does show my first payment information, and my transcript has been reflecting the 1/4/21 payment issued date for the past 3 days but nothing in my bank.

I believe you spoke to the EIP department which they don’t have access to your Tax account. I spoke to an actual IRS agent and was told what the last 4 of the account number was that my payment was sent to and it was my social meaning it went to where my tax preparer (TT) sent it to which is SBTPG. SBTPG this time around put a note saying all tax accounts were closed after taxes went out and the payments would go back to the IRS. The IRS will then send a check for the returned deposit.

How you got it the first time is NOT how you’ll get this one in every case. I got a check and then this time they sent it to my closed bank account cause they’re just GREAT. I hate this whole waiting game

day 2 when we have 8 days left. Literally all but one person Ive talked too had gotten it by New Years Day. That person was told there was an issue, in April-May-June and never received his first or his now his second.

Compounding on top of that is that its likely if you have to apply for the credit on your tax return, its probably just gonna make that take longer. So you dont get money when you are supposed too and who knows when we see our tax returns this year. tick tock
