Delayed beyond normal timeframe

I am a Pather, EITC, CTC. Filed 1/29, days refund received. Transcripts say no return received.

Got the 152 message and the delayed beyond normal timeframe today.

Is this just due to PATH?

My WMR was saying delayed beyond normal time. Now it has the PATH message

My “where is my refund app” showed this message for weeks but updated to the Path message overnight( I am on a weekly update cycle)I was accepted on 1/29 all transcripts in accept my wage and income transcript resulting in a 570. Hopefully will see more movement soon

I just checked again today and it’s back to just the PATH message.

This isn’t my first year claiming kids, it’s my 16th so it definitely caught me off guard.

I’m guessing it was just a glitch.

I am a PATHer and received that message last year. I was told since it was my first year being a PATHer that was my issue. They needed extra time to confirm it was me and not identify fraud.
The bad part was I didn’t get my refund until March 15th.

Strange. I wonder if there is an issue with your return. I am a Pather, and had this msg one year. I had an error, and needed an amendment. I would watch your mail for letters. Or maybe it’s a glitch perhaps.

Filed 1/29 checked transcript today and it looks like it is starting to be processed, everything is listed but the CTC and no 846 date yet, but I’m sure that won’t change until after the 15th.

Really strange to see that on WMR. From previous years I noticed people would get that message if they need to ID verify, but I’ve done that, and log in thru ID me already. Who knows, guess I’ll find out as time passes.

When did you file? I was accepted 1/23 and mine has not changed at all. I can’t log in view transcripts so depending on wmr and just checking my account. I still have 152 topic just checked there wasn’t anything else. But wondering if generic message if goes past 21 days.

No, path wouldn’t give that message out.

I’m a PATHer and my WMR doesn’t say anything about being delayed beyond the normal time frame, it just gives the PATH message.

Yes, I have the 152 message and it also states the “delayed” message, never had this issue before.

Wait, what? I don’t think I’ve ever heard that one… are you saying WMR says this? “Delayed beyond normal timeframe?”

The PATH message says so right on it. “According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH), the IRS cannot issue refunds before February 15th…”
